Fished a creek by my house yesterday. Caught this big boy on my Strike King Bitsy Bug on a 1/4 ounce brown&green jig with a Baby Brush Hog as a trailer. Put up a real nice fight on my Quantum Tournament Grade baitcast combo. Had alot of fun.

Ways To Rig A Zoom Lizard
Has anyone rigged a zoom lizard with a keel weighted Gamakatsu? If so how effective is it and how is its action in the water as far as swimming it,working in on the bottom? Any tips would be great, thanks.

Baitcasting Reel Wont Spin The Spool
Try to find a manual or instructions on that reel online and see what parts you may be missing or what you may have put on wrong, if this doesnt work then id get it repaired depending on the value of the reel or just buy another.

Treble Hooks & Bass
try removing the back hook, buying a smaller lure, or replacing the back treble hook with a smaller treble hook to reduce damage to the fish.

The Not So Evil Bait Monkey
Picked up some tackle for my small creek fishing there yesterday on sale, I got some Maribou Jigs, jigheads, grubs, and some small french spinners. My total came to $6.97 at the register. Went out yesterday afternoon and caught 2 big bluegill, a tiny little bass lol, and my girlfriend caught a huge bass (at least 5 pounds) all on yellow maribou jigs. Will be posting pics later in the My fishing trip/tournament forum.

New Guy Buying Gear
I would say a medium-fast action tip spinning rod with alot of backbone with a compatable reel designed for 8-12 lb line for your light lures and for when you want light line. Personally I like fishing this kind of rod because it is thrilling to watch the top third of your rod bend straight down when you catch a big one

Awesome Trip!
I went up to the Villages, Fl and decided to fish some golf course ponds. I started with a wacky rigged trick worm and had no luck, I switched to a T-rigger Houdini colored Zoom Super Fluke. Fist cast and I nailed a 3- pounder. I kept catching them in about 8 minute increments. They were consistently taking my Fluke in about 3 feet of water paralell to shore. I ended up catching 13 3-4pounders, very exciting and fun trip! I was fishing alone so I asked some golfers that stopped to talk about fishing to take a few pictures with my phone lol, I will post them when I get home tonight
