  1. I used 10# tatsu on a spinning reel this year and loved it. Layed flat, cast great. So I expect the same, give or take, from a baitcaster. I am looking forward to it without a doubt, based on my spinning outfit experience. Hooligan (I think) is the board expert on tatsu, if you want to give him a shout too.
  2. Nothin' gets past Goose!!!!!!
  3. LOL, prjavlien.....Shaw does have the PERFECT 'stache. simply amazing
  4. You want to stand across the room and test that theory?? HA HA HA I KID, I KID! I never read any study that proved 9mm wouldn't get the job done..... meaning you take 3 to the chest, you ain't walking away.
  5. I understand, I was coming from the side that guns are hard to find right now. I want to buy a G19 but cant find one, all the places I went said "good luck", they are out of the factory and we have no idea when we are getting more. So I was coming from the premise that maybe he could make do with what he has for a while, since even if you did find something to buy right now you are going to get gouged on price.......but then again cant have too many guns, LOL Jeff, what grip do you have? are you just talking about the pinky extension? THANKS!
  6. 9mm is plenty for CC, glock 19 would be the preference. I think Mod00 carries the G27....I didn't like it when I shot it cause I cant empty the clip fast enough, accurately enough. The frame is too wide, and short, and makes it a "harsh" shooting weapon IMO. BUT it is a popular CC gun. If home defense, sure go ahead and get a full size and no worries....... but a CC, a good hollow point loaded 9mm that you can triple tap, they aint walking away.....of course you could always carry a 1911 I guess, LOL.
  7. without a doubt it is worth it!
  8. HA! ......yeah all baitcasters. I started spooling up today. 40 yards on drop shot 60 yards on shakey head 65 yards on Jig rod I think I will stick with the 65 yards on the rest......probably go more on cranking sticks. with 200 yard spools, I think I prefer the 65 yard of topshot, like Goose said.
  9. its a crap shoot at best. IMO, get your set up right, correct prop, or your prop worked in general......that's where most issues come from.
  10. Thanks for that color!! I love the Strike King "Blue Craw" color and I always wanted it in a Tube!
  11. Don't forget to say hi to Roadwarrior, when he stops by....
  12. thanks Goose! I have debated the 3, 65 yard set ups as it is a 200 yard main spool of tatsu . You bring up good points about trim backs and such. My average "fishable cast" is 20 yards give or take and I am trying to get the bang for buck out of each spool....gonna have to think about this some more. THANKS!
  13. 6'9MH ex-fast is going to be a great close quarters worm, jig, or even spinnerbait rod. Crankbaits, not so much, as you are going to tear treb hooks out all the time, IMO I would be sure to play to fish very gently with that rod if used for cranks. lots of guys really like those Vertias, so enjoy the new gear.
  14. Got my reels backs from supertuning and boca upgrades. Need to spool them up for the new year..... after mono backing, how much premium line do you put on? using Tatsu this year so don't want to use more than "needed". 40yds, 50 yds, 60yds? do you do it by technique? (cranking would get more I would think) I am not thinking many worm or jig fish get caught 40-50 yards away from the boat, but yall tell me.....how much?
  15. did you restart your computer then try it?........I am amazed at the stuff that doesn't work but after a restart it does.
  16. I guess it depends on whether you are wearing shorts, or your wife's capri pants..... ZING!!!!
  17. I don't understand the short jokes on Biffle.... if your shorts are below your knees that are too long IMO, inch or 2 above the knee is the perfect length...common knowledge I thought?
  18. are you saying Ike is to bass fishing what the BCS is/was to CFB??? kinda like, like it or not it gets people talking?....3 pages so far.
  19. I never knew it came on TV
  20. yep, not looking forward to that.....I get mine next week, not looking forward to it, and hoping its not a lifestyle changer for me...
  21. green pumpkin (with a few strands orange) PBJ black and blue those are the 3 you will find everyone uses......you will find variations but they will always lead you back to these 3
  22. I know! They cant let the fish hit the carpet but they can hug and wipe the fish all over their jersey?
  23. A Jay , you probably right.......I had one that look just like it (cant remember brand) and it was horrible, you could weigh a fish twice and be 1/2 pound difference ,LOL, and it was much cheaper than those.. I bet the guys griped about the "guessing" that went on with the bogas. The more I watch, the more GOOOD $$$$$ I would pay Ike to teach me to skip like that, I swear that man HAS TO BE the best skipper known to man. totally amazing(to me at least)
  24. Ike, God bless 'em, love 'em or hate 'em....the man has passion. also, wonder why they are using those cheap scales?
