  1. Weights have been a little heavier than I expected, especially day one after a big front. Cherokee has always been very up and down for me, it's fun to see how the Pros do out there.
  2. I went over a year once without putting a spinning rod in my boat. I don't need no sissy finesse gear!
  3. I'll second that. Always keep a spook tied on, and don't just use it when they're busting either. Topwater is an overlooked technique on those deep clear lakes like Norris. Oh, and good luck!
  4. Well I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the Reds flat out have no heart. 6 consecutive losses to round out the 2013 season. 3 playoff trips in 4 years, and not one time have they advanced. I'm afraid this Reds team is never gonna win anything.
  5. Oh yeah, love Vipers. I may be in the minority, but the American sports cars are what really do it for me. Porsches, Ferraris, etc. are great, but I like the Vettes and Vipers.
  6. Yeah, I'd love to see Cleveland win the WS, (assuming they don't play the Reds of course) Cle. sports fans have suffered long enough.
  7. ] That's the same ZR1 from the Vette show a few months ago, had to post it again, just amazing car. Finally a Viper at a show, and even with a blower to boot. [/
  8. ] Mach 1 with a 390, cool oddball.
  9. Just wanted to bump this one up with some new pics from another show.
  10. I'd rather kill the wild card enirely, but I actually like the 5 team format better than the 4 team format. The 4 team system didn't penalize the wild card team at all. I like that the wild card teams now have a much tougher path. Yes, anything can happen in one game, but wild cards don't deserve to be in anyway.
  11. Dusty deserves to win one. It's gonna be a tough route with the 1 game playoff though.
  12. Welcome! I've done a little wading for river smallies in East KY.
  13. You got me thinking on that one, had to look into it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Major_League_Baseball_pitchers_who_have_struck_out_three_batters_on_nine_pitches http://www.baseball-almanac.com/feats/3_pitch_inning.shtml Looks like the "immaculate inning" is more rare. Another oddity, I saw Tony Cingrani strike out 4 batters in an inning earlier this year, and that has been done 66 times.
  14. Jim Browns flat out refusal to block still makes me dislike him. He was just an utterly selfish individual.
  15. No doubt about that. I just flat out can't stand most people my age.
  16. I don't think that has anything to do with it, technology just flat out has no place in baseball. It's a traditional game, and that's the way it should stay. Look what all the change has done for football, now you've got a game with constant reviews, constant penalties, and pretty much any form of tackling is now illegal. Defense is gonna be dead in another year or two, and they'll probably have a franchise in London. I can only pray that baseball never changes the way football has.
  17. He's definately the Ace of the staff. I was still a little surprised to see that he had such good command after being out so long, only one walk in 5 innings. Rumour has it they could get Sean Marshall back too, odd time of the year to start getting some players back. Didn't see it, but that's a mighty impressive outing.
  18. Surprisingly good start from Cueto too, he's been kind of forgotten, what a huge boost it would be to have him back at 100%. I think Cingrani will able to pitch again this year, but that's just speculation on my part.
  19. Good analogy. Those teams that get in a lot and never win it are the worst. Oh, and a surprise today, Johnny Cueto will start, I didn't see that one coming.
  20. Oh yeah, it's definately possible. But even as negative as I tend to be, I still say the Reds hang on.
  21. I'll never watch another Reds game if they let the Nats sneak in. I think the Nats are 4.5 back, with only about 12 games to go that's gonna be real tough to make up.
