So the other morning me and my buddy are on our way to one of our spots along the creek. I mentioned i wanted to start trying Live Target cranks cause they actually look like fish. We get to the spot and the water is low. Like 10 feet low, my fault for not checking the tide. So we move down a bit and start fishing. A few minutes goes by and a happen to look in the mud next to me and whats laying there? A brand spankin new Live Target gizzard shad crankbait! Someone must have lost it the day before cause this thing is brand new. No rust, finish is intact. Couldnt believe it.

Im looking to join a bass club this year and start fishing some local tournaments. Anyone know of any bass clubs near Philadelphia? OR NJ?

I've searched the web and couldn't find a definitive answer. So how long have largemouth bass been in existance? Where did the originate from? How long ago? Or even "bass" in general?

Thanks for the tip but i dont have a fish finder, let alone a boat. In the summer i can drive right into the marina and fish it, but its closed in the winter unless you have a boat slip. So i have to walk the bank of the river to get to it. Im gonna give it a shot the next nice day.

Bassin around here has been incredibly slow even with warmer than usual temps. Ive been getting skunked at all my usually great spots. I have a marina near me that i havent tried this winter. Would it be worth my while to check it out or would bass not go there during winter?

Hey everyone. I was wondering i anyone had tips on casting spinnerbaits? When i cast them they hit the water with a hard splash and sometimes the blade hit flat and makes a really loud clap on the waters surface. How can i cast so that it quietly enter the water?

Im a shoreline fisherman. At least until i meet someone with a boat. lol. Ive had lousy luck so far this fall and winter. I literally havent caught anything my last 3 times out. Where are good places to find the bass when the water is cold? I live in PA so it gets pretty cold up here. What are good lures and techniques to use when its that cold? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need to catch some fish! Ill try multiple lakes in a day as well, still nothing.

Ive read a few articles recently about some guys who fish according to the moon phase. They say 3 days before or after a new moon or 3 days before or after a full moon are the best times and a lot of times the fishing can be magnificent during these times. Combine it with a cold front about to come through and its lightning fishing. Anyone fish this way? I literally havent caught crap this winter and im trying new things. Any tips on this?

I was wondering if anybody fishes at Penn Warner Club in Levittown? I live in Philadelphia and only fish banks and its been crappy lately. Is anyone a member who can bring a guest? Id be happy to buy gas or pay for bait or whatever to help out. I always hear about that place and how good the fishing is, but i dont have the 650 bucks a year to be a member. If anyone can help out, or if you live in the area and just have a boat, send me a message and lets talk.

I live in Pennsylvania so this time of year its getting pretty cold. That wont stop me from fishin. But i havent been doing so well. Ive been throwing jigs with and without trailers and spinnerbaits and Senkos but havent had much luck. I know bass get lazy in the winter so i really like throwing the jig with a trailer and retrieving it real slow to give em something big and slow to eat but still not much luck. Anybody live above the freeze line can give me some tips and tricks to bagging lunkers in the cold winter months?

I never understood the hand switch. Im a righty and crank with my left hand on spinning and baitcast reels. Wouldnt you want the rod in your dominant hand to have better feel? I do. Plus i crank just the same left or right handed.

I think its dumb. Do you really need 5 lures in the water imitating a school of fish? Why dont you just use dynamite. Im a purist i guess but its completely un called for to use that rig for bass. Yea i definitely understand its part of the game. Its just annoying losing my 6 dollar red eye shads.lol. Ive tried that spark plug thing in the video but it doesnt work very well unless youre right over top of the snag. Oh well it happens i guess. All part of the game.

Haha thats usually what i do. But i live up north in Philly. Its getting a little too cold to be getting wet. lol
