  1. Here's something that always work for me. Locate bait fish! If you can locate them, you know you're in for the ride. If you don't see them around, you'll know your chances are slim to get a fish at that point. .
  2. I'd like how you say you're getting skunk but other people are just perfectly catching the fish and putting them in their bucket. It tells me that you don't know how to fish! Learn to fish and you won't get skunk. Oh if their keeping the fish and no law is broken, quit crying!
  3. Make sure you get a prenup. At least if she walks, she's not taking the other boat.
  4. There is nothing wrong with using Live Bait. It's just a different technique of fishing. As for me, I like to develope other technique of fishing. This is why I use lures. You never know when there is a situation where you would use a lure instead of live baits.
  5. Both of the rod you mention are great. The E21 Pro Series Carrot Stix is good too, because they are running them at BPS at $99. It all depends on your preference.
  6. I have both Curado and Revo. The Shimano Curado is a better casting reel. It just cast smoother.
  7. You're probably getting skunked because you're not throwing the bait to the right area. You've notice that Pro's always study the map of the lakes before they fish right. Do some research and study like they do too. Season, temp, time, wind, etc.... all have a play on how successful you will be.
  8. Pros: Less line flutter and cast seems a bit smoother. It has a nice squeegy to get rid of excess line water. Cons: With the smaller the Microguide, it's hard to use leader. I don't really see a difference in casting distance.
  9. Crankbaits and Spinner baits uses different type of action rod. As for worms or jigs, you want a fast action tip. Cranking calls for moderate action. Spinner bait calls for Moderate fast action. For $50 -$100, Abu Garcia, Carrot stix Pro series, and St. Croix makes pretty good rods at that price.
  10. I use braids for everything except for swim/crank bait or live bait.
  11. This link will help you understand Lure color. Hope this help a lot.
  12. I'm with Raul on this. 1-2lb=10%, 2-4lb=30% , 4-6lb=90%, 6+lb=98%
  13. Use a finest style rig and cast roughly parallel from the bank and make sure he cast pass the school. Wait like 5minute for the school to recover back and then slowly finest it back.
