  2. You give me too much credit Brian. Glad you took the plunge. I never knew anyone getting rich working for someone else. Going to miss you at pickwick. Maybe we can make the WI gathering. Kelley
  3. Being a dog lover I know how you feel Mike. Sorry for your loss. Kelley
  4. I "ROLL" my own. 1/16 thru 1/2 oz with Owner hooks and stainless screw lock. Have never found anything better and have tried several brands. Kelley
  5. Here you go! Tie a texas rig as you would normally do. Leave the tag end about 6" long. Trim the tag end and fold in 1/2. Insert the the folded mono loop end toward the hook. Insert a rubber band through the loop and pull through the sinker. Pull just enough through the sinker so you will be able to get hold of rubber band and pull rubber out when you don't want it pegged any longer. Also will not damage the line like a toothpick. Kelley
  6. I Bought a couple on ebay. Kelley
  7. I still use them on occasion. Caught a lot of bass on them. Kelley

  11. Did it look something like this Kelley: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiZZObWPi5Y&feature=related Every time I hear of feather stories Randy Johnson comes to mind. Exactly Brian except the Robin was on the ground. Looked like a ground mine went off. Kelley
  12. I bought one of these at the Hazelwood MO Cabelas store. I wanted it for an ultralight farm pond reel. I got it home and spooled one spool and took it off and put the spare spool on to put line on also. Noticed that the spool flopped around on the shaft like a chicken with a broke neck. looked at the schematic and saw the click gear and a plastic washer was missing from shaft. Scrounged around in the shag carpet for about 20 minutes and found the missing parts. The parts have no means of being retained onto shaft. I can image changing spools in waist high weeds and trying to find parts if they fell off. I called Cabelas(store is 2hr 45 min drive) and they are going to exchange for my choice reel. Poorly engineered Michell reel and great Cabela's Customer service. Kelley
  13. I was mowing the lawn a couple years ago and had a falcon take a robin about 10 feet from me. An exploision of feathers. It tried to fly off with the robin and could only make it about 10 yards with each flight. Took it about 10 tries to make it about 100 yards to the woods. Very cool. Kelley
  14. Thunder Road without a doubt. Kelley

  19. Easy on yourself, Brian. Suck is a pretty harsh word. Stink maybe. I started and ended most days with a few casts to the rocks in the Marina. Who says you need a $50,000.00 boat (Kelley) ;D It may be a $56,000.00 boat but you can bet your butt I didn't pay that for it. I stole it. Tell you about it the next time I see you. By the way, still iced in here and snow tomorrow. This is the coldest Winter since I moved here 6 years ago. Kelley
  20. Me used rock from driveway. Make talk about Shimano fishing rock. Me want to learn. One question. What is driveway? Mammoth trail. Buffalo Trace.
  21. I was lucky enough to be born(1943) and raised on the banks of what in 1957 was said to be(Field & Stream) the "Best Smallmouth Stream in the Eastern USA"(Rockcastle Creek in Martin County KY). It is no more thanks to the coal stripmines that have ravished and raped the land. The chemicals used to clean the coal has killed all the fish in many miles of that creek several times. Enough of that. I caught my first fish, a sunfish(that I remember), with a stickweed for a rod, sewing thread for line, and a bent straight pin hook, worm for bait, when I was about 3 years old. I have fished ever since. I lost many relationships with females because of my fishing and hunting. ;D So be it. I have now fished over 63 years and hope, when my time comes, I will meet my maker with a rod, gun, or bow in my hand. Kelley
