Stroking a Jig is one of my favorite presentation. Nothing like it and works wonderfully when done properly. My favorite size is 1/2oz. Will work in most any depth water. I like to work ledges most. Kelley

1/8th oz crankbait. Google yv37 pee wee wart and get a crankbait as close to this one as possible. Works wonders in 48 to 52 degree water. Warmer (52-60 degrees) rattle trap type lures. Red or shad colors. Kelley

I'm confused by this. How do you get a good hooksett if the fish whiffs? If the fish misses, the hooksett will miss too. I know I hate laying the steel on nothing..... I love them all and what I am saying you don't get to enjoy the other 2 without the strike. Therefore I think the STRIKE is the most important. I also agree. This is some the best and most challenging cover to flip. If I am lucky I can land 3 out of 5 fish I hook. Kelley

I have the same reel and have no problem throwing 1/8 oz cranks. Adjust reel and educate your thumb. Also might try droping to 8 or 10 lb flurocarbon. Kelley
