What I Don't Like About New Advanced Depthfinders
I agree with you backpain, GPS is great i'm just sayin that the new technology is eventually gonna take the fun out of the sport in my opinion. If you want you mine as well use a freakin underwater camera stick it down into the depths and use that to try and catch the fish...you know I still am old school I use topo maps and learn seasonal patterns of the bass, that my friends is what works for me and is fun....you can't catch em' all.

Your Fishing Partner Bothers You When......
Yeah that's another one of mine also...the guy in the front of the boat always get's to cast to the tree in the water or stump and the guy in the back has to catch whatever he didn't, rule of thumb I guess.

What I Don't Like About New Advanced Depthfinders
In my honest opinion if you have the money to upgrade do so, but where do you draw the line on the digital scale of technology. I understand the GPS and the L.E.D.fixture on a depth finder, but this 3d imaging of structure is ridiculous...you mine as well show how big the bass are and where they are located under the structure, I know someone is gonna say, "well depthfinders don't catch fish, the technique or the right set up does." Yes, but where do you draw the line from taking the sport or fun out of fishing...and I know the answer is, "well just don't get the equipment." I just need your thoughts.

Harris Lake, Nc
Little river and lake Michie of durham,nc hold 10#+ bass and prob some of the biggest in NC. Little River is owned by the water treatment facility and the city has access to the lake. A lot of people do not know this but with tons of research and knowing what I know this is true and you will have to experience this for yourself....the reservoirs are both ran by the city, Little River is not allowing gas motors but they do rent jon boat with trolling motor. Lake Michie is in Bahama NC and is one of the oldest reservoirs in NC holds some 10#+ bass...hope to see you guys out there this year.

Your Fishing Partner Bothers You When......
Just today my buddy goes fishing back home(i'm in another state) he sends me a text and says any idea what to use today and I have no problem telling him in my opinion it's just that he needs to do more homework on the seasonal patterns. He's a really good fisherman, he just needs to learn how to fish all seasons instead of after the spawn.

Hardest Thing To Learn?
Accepting confidence in a bait and trying to find the same confidence in another. Also moving to spots that have bass opposed to staying in the same spot for to long.

Harris Lake, Nc
Dunno about that, there are plenty of other lakes in the piedmont that hold 10#+ bass especially in the triangle.

What If There Are No Crawdads
Either way think about it crawdads or not it's a known natural bait...that should even make the lure a must to use...it's known that bass will go after things they are not used to seeing...in this case a crawfish is still natural reguardless if they're in the pond or not.

Fishing In Jacksonville Near University Of North Florida
Man there are tackle shops everywhere, acadamy, gander mount,dicks...local shops. The local shops are gonna tell you how to fish mostly salt water...all the recession ponds in Jax are stocked Bass are on the beds and some have already spawned in certain areas...I did fish the big sized pond at UNF they are tricky cause they are used to seeing people I suggest wearing surrounding colors adapt to the envior. I know a pond that has some pretty big bass in it and I will have to PM you about it when your closer to coming down. Until then if you have any questions i'll do my best to keep you informed.

Largemouth Movement Through The Water Column.
As far as movement is concernd here is my 2 cents. Bass will move during weather changes and temperature changes, barometric pressure included. Not ALL bass are the same but most of this species follows a pattern depending on the time of year. I have seen monsters caught on a warm day in shallow water when it has been in the 30's-40's and that one warm front comes in and some bass will move from the depths to the closest shallow water and will feed on what they can it's like a hit or miss. You have to think a bass in cold water isn't going to use up it's energy to chase a bait that's why angler's like us fish slow during the cold. And I do agree about the bass moving horizontal then vertical...but that just may be the movement not the actual bite. The most important thing you need to take in effect is seasonal pattern and go off what you learn about pattern, everything else will fall into play, that's my 2 cents hope it helps. -Andrew
