Sounds like your pond maybe at the spawn peak

It's always possible, the main habbitat for shad usually has a stream or river running through it. Migration pattern for shad.

A buzzbait is deadly at peak of spawn.

Fish for prespawn bass start in about 3 ft and work your way back into about 6-10ft

Well I will see about the disease issue and see what i can do to help out.

Man that's not cool...plus the lake is dern near impossible to fish in the summer all the dern jet skis and people that just dont care about fishermen.
