  1. I only flip and pitch with 65lb suffix performance braid, I absolutely love that stuff!
  2. I just bought a quantum tour kvd cranking reel from nodak for $210 shipped, i was pretty happy with the purchase!
  3. I take my spools out in an empty field, walk the line out to about half, then walk back and cut it exactly in the middle. No line counter needed (which aren't horribly accurate anyway, trust me, i'm a walleye guy and own 16 of them) and this is also the cheapest route. Don't over think things.
  4. Depth for sure. At least to me, its the only way that makes logical sense.
  5. Please, don't do this. I'd put 65lb suffix performance braid on the H action, 12 or 15lb cxx on the other baitcasters, and 10lb cx on that spinning set-up.
  6. I'd go with the duckett. I fish mostly st croixs (ltb's) and i wouldn't buy a rage for $100, i just don't like those rods at all.
  7. Welcome fellow wisconsinite! 75 mile river? Never heard of it
  8. I'd go with the avid personally. To what kckid said, i sanded down the hump on the avids i used to own.
  9. I'd spend the extra $50 and get the duckett.
  10. Just saw these yesterday, i think they look pretty sick! Anyone seen these in action? What type of action do the claws have?
  11. Go with the duckett. I can't speak for the spinning rods but the baitcasters are fine rods!
  12. I literally gave my other frogs away after using the koppers frog, its amazing. I've heard good things about the booyah pad crasher also, i'll be trying one this year.
  13. I've given rage craws numerous chances t-rigged and as a jig trailer, and have never had much success. My partner i bass fish with SWEARS by them, yet has never outfished me with them, i'm assuming this is the year he finally gives in...
  14. I just saw these the other day as well, can't wait to see them in person!
  15. Good to hear guys, i don't want to get my hopes up too much, but these might just be the cat's meow for great lakes smallies
  16. I would agree with this, however the 7'6" XH XF would probably be the rod that you were looking for then, that blank to me has the perfect action for my pitching needs
  17. I fish both and i'd go with the duckett, and i would not agree at all with the ducketts tips being too soft. If you can try to handle both rods and see what you think of them.
  18. Anybody seen these in person or used them?? They look frickin killer, if these things have any action at all they should be outrageous!
  19. Do like i did on the avids i used to have, sand it down!!
  20. How does this blank compare to the "old" LTB 7' MF? Thanks for the review!
  21. Apparently i'm alone on this one, but id go with the avid.
  22. Here is one more, this one is 22" just spawned out. Those 2 above were both just under 21. Have caught these pigs on the exact same bait for the last 5 years!
  23. Being in wisconsin i get to fish Sturgeon bay a lot, this year over memorial day weekend, we caught 17 fish total the first 2 days, 3 were under 5lbs, the biggest being 6lbs 8oz (fish in avatar) I've never broke 7, but have numerous over 6, its quite a barrier to break!
