I like the spook for open water, and right along the edge of a pad line. Buzzbaits are great anywhere there is some shallow water, or weedlines.

I use non chloronated brake clean. Even on regular bearings after they are soaked in acetone, it helps blow out the extra stuff.

Caught 5 nice largemouth this evening, biggets one being around 3#'s. All caught on BPS Humping toad.

Great baits in the sundown time. Fun to watch them get crushed.

Congrats, its a wonderful reel. I have mine mounted on a MH Worm and Jig Sellus, but they are amazing on an Abu Veritas.

Im up here in Maine on Unity pond, fished a bit last night, and this morning. Had a buch of tail slaps, and a few bring the frog under, but no hookups. The water is very algae mixed, green pea color. Was not prepared for this, good thing I brought my black frogs. I miss my FL fishing, but I will make do for the next 3 days.

I like the fluoro, just because it sinks better.

Go with the Pro Qual. The mag only brakes on the SX is not that great. I think the Pro Qual is a better all around reel. Ive owned both.

Look, either way, when I posted this, graphite frames are still just as strong today as an aluminum frame. There may be the difference of what makes up the reel, but remember that words sell. If a company says they offer 11 bearngs in a reel, are they quality? #'s dont mean ****. What matters is, will what you buy last? And how long will you be satisfied with it?

Some people just dont know what a good reel is, but time will tell.

If it was forever it would be a Curado 50E with a Abu Veritas MH.

Get yourself a used Shimano Citica E, a MH Sellus rod, and some 12# YoZuri, and you will have a hell of a setup for approx $150.

Nah, just done trying to explain buisiness procedures to the mindless. Its easier to let them just not fish Shimano products, that leaves more for me.

It has a better drag system, and better coating on the spool and crank handle to resist corrosion better for salt water. Shimano is realizing their mistake of the Curado E popularity, and are going to suffer the consequences for it Im sure. If you go from the brand new price, the Cronarch E at $200 and Curado E at $170, the slight upgrades are justifyable. If you compare the Curado G to the Chronarch E, thats the way the options/price spectrum should have been between the two. That being said, like Ive said many times before, you can get the Curado E or Chronarch E, both peform pretty much the same, but you will notice the smoother drag. I do own the whole E series line up, so I can give you the truthful answer of the difference in reels. I dont think Shimano has anything to worry about with the other brands, time will show the outcome with these other brands.

Yes earth, they are plastic, they just look like they are metal. As far as mechanically, all Shimano baitcasters are pretty much identical, its called trusted and true design. As far as Curado and Chronarch identical, close, but you forgot better drag system too. I know Im wrong about all of this since Ive only fished Shimano since I was 10, and dont own anything but Shimano. Stick to your Lews product, leave Shimano to me.

What they did was get people to purchase the Chronarch if you wanted that kind of baitcaster. Unfortunately, Shimano spoiled people with the Curado E series, and they know that. What they had to do was put the Curado back to where it should be in the spectrum. I dont think the Curado G is all that bad. Yes its not the E, but then again, no Curado was even close to that E, and that was the problem. If you want that performance, buy the Chronarch E. Remember what the Curado 50E sold for knew? Exactly!

Anyone know about this? I might fish it.
