Sunline Defier is the best line I've ever used and it's a copolymer. So, I'd say my opinion is that copolymers are great.

On my attachment, you're spinning the entire bearing. The bearings themselves are spinning a minimal amount.An abec1 stainless ball bearing is typically rated for a max of 60,000-70,000 rpms; far faster than my dremel.

For handle and spool bearings, with a small inside diameter, I use a cutting wheel attachment. I take off the sanding disc and center the bearing. Just screw it in and you're good to go. For me, it cleans bearings much faster, so I can save time, since I have about 30 reels.

I put mine on a dremel attachment and spin them at warp speed in a small jar of degreaser. They're completely free of whatever oil or grease in about a minute. Take them put of the jar, spin in the air for a minute to dry. They spin freely in just a few minutes. Simple.

I have yet to get anything knockoff and I buy from both amazon and eBay pretty regularly.

The 7'2" Heavy Tatula makes a fine pitching rod. Very lightweight for a heavy power rod, but has a lot of backbone.

Tatula 7' MF. Have one, love it.

I use the fuji keepers, they work great and don't harm the rod at all.

7' medium *** is the best all around $100 spinning rod I've ever used. Very comfortable to fish with as well, the handle just feels right. If you prefer shorter, the 6'7" would work great too.

Mono is probably the easiest line to tie a good knot. Fluoro is even more critical that you tie a knot properly.

You're tying a good knot, just not tying it properly. After you make your twists and put it through the loop, you have to put it back through the loop created by the tag end and the twists on the main line. Without adding the last part, you should be able to slip the knot by hand. I always recommend giving them a good tug to check the knot before casting an expensive lure into orbit with no line attached. If the knot is bad, it'll come loose or snap when you check it. I use an improved clinch for everything and never have an issue.

My first step is to determine the application for which I want the rod. After that, I find the proper action, power, and length I'm looking for. As far as brand, I like bang for your buck options; so I typically stay away from the big names.

I used to fit 7'6" rods in my Charger as well. Granted, it was a pretty big car, but I'd carry 8-10 rods in it no problem.

With Yozuri, cxx, big game, etc.; it's usually a question of line diameter-to-strength ratio. 15lb Yozuri is much thicker than most 15lb fluorocarbons. Using a mono and good fluoro, of like diameter, it's usually not even close. Sunline Shooter is the toughest I've found. I've fished rockpiles all day and it seems impossible to nick it.

I use a uni-to-uni or Albright, typically. For your situation, I'd recommend using tape. It doesn't protrude at all.

TT did a review back several years ago. It didn't fare too well. Some things are priced high, just to be expensive. I'd stick with Tatsu or Shooter, personally.

I get a better feel for what's going on feeling the line, regardless of how sensitive the rod is. It's especially helpful with presentations that sometimes slack the line, which would make it pointless with braid in those situations. I only use mono and fluoro.

I haven't had a 2 piece for 15-20 years. I'll never own another.

Fluoro has much stronger impact and abrasion resistance than a comparable mono or copolymer. The biggest weakness is knot strength.

The reel isn't the issue. You need a longer rod. If you were using a 7' or even a 7'6" rod, you could probably reach the pads.

7' or 7'3 MH KLX.

Mag heavy is a very stout rod. I use a 7'4" heavy rod. The length adds casting distance and aids in hooksetting. The heavy helps me drag bass in with 10lbs of moss wrapped around them. I would recommend a MH at minimum, a M would be too soft for any cover that it'd be worth throwing a frog at, in my opinion. Lengthwise, use what feels comfortable.

I've used 40lb braid on one. It worked great.

I use braid and fluoro on mine without issue.
