I'm looking at getting a new kayak this upcoming spring. I'm looking at bonafide and I'm torn between the rs117 and the ss107. I've fished out of a kayak for a few years now, but I can't stand in my current one so stability is my main concern. My other main concerns are ease of mounting a graph and tracking. I know the ss107 will track worse, but the internal storage seems like a nice feature. Any one have experience with these two? Or if you have another brand that would do better i'll take suggestions. I have the 7-2 you speak of and it is a great chatterbait, spinnerbait rod. I haven't thrown anything else on it, but would imagine it is a great all rounder

I am trying to get the number of fish I hook during practice down, I use a lot of moving baits so that makes it kind of difficult. I was wondering if you guys had any tips for crankbaits, spinnerbait etc? thanks wapsi smallmouth

Hi guys, With the Ebay sale goin on, I was looking at jumping on one of these three. The Fuego is for 60, CT R for 80, or the Type R for 100 . I would be putting it on a spinnerbait rod so I want one that's a pretty good workhorse. I've heard good things about all three on here, but is the Type R worth the extra 40 bucks? Hi all, I am trying to choose between two rods for a new spinnerbait rod. 7'-1" MH/MF Veritas or 7ft M/F Ike Power series rod I've gone and checked both rods out and I like the tip on the Ike rod better, but I do a lot of fishing around heavy cover and I am kinda afraid it may not have the power I need sometimes. Just wondering if anyone has some experience with these rods. I would also probably be throwing chatter baits on it as well. Mainly shallow as well so 3/8 or 1/2 oz.

I was looking for a cranking rod, and I get a good deal on pure fishing brands so I would prefer to stick within that company, but that does look like a great rod!

Looking at getting a new casting rod and was wondering what the Abu Garica Veritas and Fenwick Elite tech bass were like. Do they run faster or slower, heavier or lighter then what they say etc. Thanks Wapsi Smallmouth

Haven't been able to go fishing for about a month, but today I was going through my boxes putting stuff away and noticed that a lot of my hooks have rust on them and not just in one box, but my jigs, cranks, worm hooks all have some rust on them. It appears to be mostly superficial rust, but I cant tell for sure. It was a very rainy weekend the last time I went and I thought I had dried everything out sufficiently, but it appears that wasn't the case. Is there any way to get the rust off? Whats a good way to prevent this from happening again? Thanks Wapsi Smallmouth

I was gonna go fishing on the Mississippi river this weekend, but now we're forcasted to get 2+ inches of rain and temps will drop like 15 degrees. Any idea what this will do to the fish? Water temp right now is upper 60's maybe 70 Thanks Wapsi Smallmouth

Bought some Sunline FC Sniper a few weeks ago and I'm already having trouble with it coming off in tight coils. Is this the norm with fluorocarbon and if not how do I solve the situation. thanks Wapsi Smallmouth

I finally figured it out, the main shaft is stripped so I went ahead and got a new one.

it does look like its sitting high but i can't get it any lower

I was cleaning my reel today and all seemed to be normal, but when I put it all back together the knob on the very top of the reel won't screw down, thus the drag pulls without any tension. Any Idea?? IMG_0557.MOV

I looked on the box and it does say silver mirror so maybe it is, but yeah i haven't seen any silver finish any where I go.

This is the pair I got yesterday. Pretty sure they aren't the silver mirror, but just want to make sure before I get involved with customer support.

Does anybody own a pair of glasses in this color? just got mine and they look pretty copperlike.
