  3. I've used the calcutta 251 for bass and snook for years. I've never had a problem with using it so keep fishing with it.
  4. Welcome to the forum first. Second go with the red power pro. I have been using it for about 2-3 weeks now and love it. Give it a try and see what you think but me I love it.
  5. WTG! Nice fish.
  6. Congrats on your first loomis. Now you will never want to fish with anything else.
  7. It can be fished many ways but my favorite way is a owner sled head in a 1/8oz. or 1/4oz.
  8. No it's the new red power pro.
  9. WOW! Wish I could get one. Sounds great.
  10. I have the 7'7" spinning rod and love it. It's a great rod if anyone is looking for a good spinning rod. You can cast a light weight lure a mile. Love mine so much I use it in saltwater for flats fishing.
  11. I'm having someone make me a custom rod an he wants to know if I want a split rear grip. I wanted to know if anyone has fished with this type of grip and what do you think of it. Don't think it would bother me because the only time I put my hand on the lower part of the rod it to cast. The rest of the time I palm the reel. So if anyone has any info that would be great. Thank you.
  12. Nothing better then the symetre.
  13. Spend $20 more and get the new zillion. I just got the 7.1:1 and love it.
  14. Yea! It's suppose to get cold tomorrow 57 in the morning and 71 in the afternoon. ;D Well guess that's not that cold.
  15. Looking for a new rod for my zillion and hope you guys can help me out. I'm looking at 3 different rods and all are gloomis rods but not sure how the recoil guides are with braided line. So can someone tell me how the recoil guides work with braid or can I only use mono. The 3 rods I'm looking at are the BCR853, BCR864, and the MBR843. Also is there a place that can tell me the weight of each rod. Thanks for helping me.
  16. Went out after work from 3:30-5:00pm but not much luck. Started with a zoom finesse worm but only one hit after 30 minutes so decided to switch to a baby brush hog. First cast a nice 3.2lb bass. Next cast a 2.6lb bass(that's the bass in the pic and my new reel). Cast out again and another hit but I missed it. Fished for about 40 minutes and nothing so decided to call it a night.
  17. WTG! Nice bass.
  18. WOW! Looks cold. Down here in Florida we have a cold front coming in and I had to wear jeans and a sweater today. Guess I'm luck to live down here. WTG on the smallie!
  19. Welcome to the forum.
  20. Went out today from 3:30-5:30pm in the wind. Today was very windy because we have a cold front coming in well cold for Florida. I started with a bbh on a 1/4oz. owner sled head. The bass were very hungry but the wind kept putting slack in my line so I missed more then 10 hits. I did manage to catch 3 dink bass so then I decided to try a LC LVR mini. My first cast another dink bass. Cast out again and another hit. This time it was something big. The bass came up shook it's head and started to pull and it came off. Reeled in and checked the line and lure and saw that it had straighten the hook. Put on another LC LVR mini and had another hit. This time it was a nice 3.5lb bass. Fished for a few more minutes and caught a 1.5lber and decided to call it a night. I'll give it a try again tomorrow.
  21. Baby Brush Hog=BBH

My favorite way of rigging the bbh is on a 1/8 or 1/4oz. owner sled head. The bh is t-rigged with no weight on a 3/0 hook.
