  2. Lutz, FL here. Been here for 24 of my 30 years so I don't know anything but Florida. GO GATORS!
  3. Welcome to the forum! Your on a great forum for learning how to bass fish. I have learned a lot from everyone here in the few months I've been on here.
  4. Yes, but it will be someone who is out there right when the park opens. That way they can work the fish all day long.
  5. Wish I could fish from 10:00-3:00 but I go fishing from 3:30-6:30p.m. My 2 biggest fish where caught around 4:30-5:30 and most guys I speak with catch there big fish in this time.
  6. RoLo is that a trout or a weakfish? Kind of looks like a speck trout body but the markings are right. So, what is it and where did you catch it?
  7. Here's my little one with a 4'6" rod and a spinning reel. It was his first fish on a lure. He was using the strike king bleeding spinnerbait.
  8. I've seen this happend in saltwater before but never freshwater. Guys do this in Florida in the Gulf of Mexico for grouper. Not legal at all.
  9. I had cabin fever one day that it rain 12" besides that not much cabin fever in Florida. I've been fishing 3-5 day a week. It was 80 degrees here yesterday but we have a cold front coming in that will make it 73 tomorrow. ;D I guess not much of a cold front for all of you who live up north. I bet some of you guys can't wait for global warming. Hope it gets better up there for you guys. Don't worry come June I'll be wishing I was living up north once the hurricane season starts.
  10. I agree with LBH you shouldn't treat a women or a younger kid any different. I would talk to someone to find out how much they know and then go from there. Living in Florida I've meet some great guides that are women so you just never know. I think guys just have a problem with a beautiful woman knowing how to fish.
  11. WOW! That's a big bass. Thanks for the pics.
  12. If you come up with a visor let me know.
  13. I would go Tuesday if I was you. Glad I don't have your problem. I get to fish 3-5 days a week. My fiance is a little more understanding. But I take her out at least once a month. She's happy and I get to fish. When I don't get to fish I get crabby and then she tells me maybe you should go fish so you can relax. So fish I will go.
  14. Welcome and don't worry you came to the right place for your problem.
  15. I also agree it's the best bass fishing forum out there and welcome to the forum.
  16. Just stick to t-rig for now and when your confidence is up from that then try c-rig.
  17. I keep them in the bags they came in and then put them in a large shimano worm bag. Inside it has 4 pockets to put weights and hooks. Works great for me.
  18. Fluke and LBH next time you want some peacocks and LMB just go to south Florida. The rivers down there are full of them.
  19. Go deep sea fishing are saltwater fishing for big game fish and then tell me it's not a sport. Fight a tarpon for 1 hour and you'll change your mind quickly the next morning. I agree rocknfish casting at things would be a good competition. Maybe not for Olympics but maybe as a competiton for a tournament.
  20. In the summer afternoon because it is so hot nothing wants to eat. When it's 98 degress and humity of 100 to hot for the fish to eat. Welcome to Florida when all you want to do is be inside in the summer or on the beach. So I go fishing early morning or anytime after 5p.m.
  21. Sorry to hear about your luck. Start practicing how to cast with your other arm now.
  22. I agree with you.
