  1. I'm looking at getting one of these two reels and want to know what people think of them. I like the sol more but not sure what to do. I will be using it for fishing with jigs, t-rigs, and c-rigs. Hope someone can help me.
  2. I have a shimano symmetre that works great for me.
  3. I use the hi-vis yellow power pro and a flourocarbon leader and have no problem catching fish. I use it a lot when casting weightless lures so I can see the movement. Give it a try works great for me.
  4. I've had more luck with senkos when it's cold then when it's hot.
  5. I am a creature bait junkie. I use creature baits more than anything else. Do you have a pic of what your creature looks like?
  6. I have a 251 calcutta that is about 9 years old and I was thinking of selling it. My question is how much do you guys think I can get for it. There is nothing wrong with the reel. The reason I was thinking of selling it is because I was looking at getting a new low profile reel. I've been looking at a new Shimano Curado or a Daiwa TD-Z. The other question I have is what reel should I get?
  7. I have a 251 and love it. Mine is 9 years old and use it for freshwater and saltwater fishing. You just bought yourself a great reel. Congrats on finding a great deal.
  8. 1. Baby brush hog 2. Horny Toad 3. Tiki Worm
  9. Zoom is what I care mostly. I don't use any berkley lures.
  10. I use the SJR843 and it's a great rod. It is not to light and you will not have any problems casting any of those lures.
  11. Gotta Love It what were you thinking. You should have known the mosquitoes were going to be nailing you. ;D If you saltwater fish those 5" storm wildeye work great for snook in the canal and rivers this time of year. Also, congrats on your bass. Where in Tampa are you?
  12. I've been taking my son fishing with me lately and been worried about him getting hooked. So I took and crimped down the bards on all my treble hooks. I know saltwater guys that do this and have no problems catching fish. Wanted to know if any of you do this and do you have any problems catching fish.
  13. Oops! I mean bronzeye. I have a bronzeback rod that I love so must have been thinking about the rod. ;D
  14. I just bought one of the spro bronzeye frogs and need help on how to use it. I use the horny toad but not sure if I should work it the same way or do I work it slower.
  15. Just pick up power pro you can't go wrong with it.
  16. This is why I stick to shimano or quantum.
  17. Sounds like a great set up. Way to give your money to the bait monkey. I've been doing the same lately.
  18. Great reel for the money. I'm looking at getting a 1500 for my son. It will go great with the st.croix premier rod.
  19. 40 in. snook on the grass flats by the mangroves. Nothing better than pulling a snook away from the mangroves.
