  2. WTG! Nice looking fish.
  3. For $100 I might have to give it a try.
  4. Had another good day working the BBH. I went out from 4:30-5:30p.m. and caught 9 bass today. All fish in the 2-3lb range and lost one good fish that was about 5lbs. Guess I'll have to give it a try again tomorrow for the big one.
  5. I drag it along the bottom and twitch it a couple times and let it sit. I also work it the same way you would a shakey head jig. Just work it the same way you would a t-rigged lure.
  6. Went out today with my new daiwa zillion 7.1:1. I can't believe how smoothly it cast. I went out today from 3:30-5:00p.m. and used my go to bait. I put on a BBH on a 1/8oz. owner sled head and caught 5 bass. All fish were in the 1-2.5lb range so nothing big but a good way to break in my new reel.
  7. 1.Baby brush hog 2.yum dinger 3.zoom finesse worm 4.horny toad
  8. I know someone that wants to make me a custom Loomis IMX 843 or a St. Croix tournament edition rod but not sure what to do.
  9. Baitcaster I just got a new Daiwa Zillion 7.1:1 and love it more then my calcutta 251. Think my calcutta will be going on sale soon. Spinning reel I will say a stradic 2500 and if you can go with the Stradic MG 2500. Very smooth and light.

Wait for the horny toad you won't be dissappointed
  11. I was thinking rat-l-trap and LC LVR.
  12. I'll keep you informed FishTank. I've been looking at both rods that your looking at but I'm also looking at a g-loomis crankbait.
  13. I fish down in Florida with a spinning reel for saltwater fishing and have never had any problems. I use 30 power pro on a shimano stradic 4000 and have caught 20lb 40" snook and have no problems landing them. You just have to know how to work the fish.
  14. I just got a new daiwa zillion 7.1:1 and don't know what rod to put with it. I need some help from you guys on what rod it should go on. I'm looking in the $100-$250 range. Not sure what I will be using it for so any info will be helpful.
  15. Craig that looks like scars from a gill net. You see that a lot down here in Florida on saltwater fish but I've never seen it on a bass.
  16. Baby brush hog rigged on a 1/8oz. owner sled head. More big fish caught on this lure then any other. Second would be a horny toad.
  17. What is this winter thing you speak of. It's 80 down here in Tampa today. I've been having great luck with LC LVR lately.
  18. KVD gets my vote but Ike is right behind him.
  19. White, green pumpkin, pumpkin, watermelon, and watermelon with blue flakes.
  20. Last year I did great pitching white horny toads and letting them drop to the bottom. Then, give it a little twitch and that will be when it hits.
  21. WOW! Looks like you had a great time.
  22. Congrats sounds like you had a great outing. That first one was a football.
  23. Well I know that in saltwater fish hold close to the rocks in the winter to warm up. In the winter most of my fishing is around the rocks so I would have to say that it would be the same for bass also.
