    WOW! Nice looking hawg.
  2. The bass that ended the day for me.
  3. The biggest bass of the day.
  4. Went out today and had a great day. I caught 6 bass and lost 2 when they jumped. I caught 2 17" bass and 1 20". The 2 that I lost were about the same size. Still mad about losing those fish. I caught the fish in about a 30 yard part of the lake. I might have been able to catch more but I had to go to dinner with the wife. Wish I could have had at least one more hour fishing. I caught 4 bass all in the same spot. 2 that were about 2lbs, 1 1lber, 1 that was 17". On my last cast I caught of the day I caught another 17" bass to end the day. So it was a great way to end the day.
  5. Went out 45 minutes after dinner and had a pretty good day. I caught 5 bass and missed a few others. It was very windy and all the fish were in the windiest part of the lake. 4 of the fish were caught on a zoom finesse worm rigged on a tru-tungsten 3/16oz. weed wacker. The other one was caught on a spinnerbait. Here's a pic of one of the fish. I caught 3 that were about the same size.
  6. Avid I have never had any problems with it digging into the spool. I use 10lb power pro on my accurist and 20lb on my calcutta and have never had a problem so guess I've been luck.
  7. Thanks guys sounds like I'm going with the pointer 78.
  8. The reel is a daiwa zillion with red 15lb power pro and the rod is a Dudley rod. It's a custom made g-loomis imx mbr844 blank with sic titanium guides. You can check his rods out at dudleyrods.com. Supermat I agree the reel grips are awesome. I like them so much I went and got another pair for my other reel.
  9. If you had to pick one lucky craft lure which one would you pick, a pointer 78 or a live pointer 95mr.
  10. What I do is tie a 3'-6' flouro leader using a uni to uni not and it works great for me. It a saltwater Florida thing that works great for freshwater also.
  11. Congrats on your first time fishing from a yak. I'm still a shore guy. I need to get a yak or a canoe.
  12. WTG on cold bass.
  13. Congrats on your outing!
  14. Went out today and had a great day. Well not a great day but I caught a great fish. Went out for a few hours to try out the baby paca craw for the first time. I guess it was a great way to start with it. In the first 5 minutes I ended up catching a nice 24.5" bass. When I grabbed her the hook feel right out of it's mouth. I caught 2 other fish only about 1lb each but now I have a new favorite craw. I also caught 1 2lb bass on a swimming senko and had another brake my line. Here's some pics. How much do you think it weighs? I did the weight calculator and at 24.5" and 16" it came out to 9.4. But I'm not sure if it was 16" around it might have been bigger. I forgot to check to see how big around it was. I know what a idiot I am but I was so excited I wasn't thinking about it.
  15. I haven't oiled my every time and it still works great.
  16. I use there leader line and think it's great. Give it a try and see what you think.
  17. WTG! What happen to that 3rd bass?
  18. By the way nice looking reel.
  19. WOW! Nice looking bass.

I don't have a boat and all I do is fish from the bank and have done pretty good for not having a boat. I think at times it helps for the bass to see the lure in a different direction. I was fishing from the bank and a guy was in a boat in the same spot. I ended up catching 3 bass from the same spot that he was just fishing in so I think at times it does help. I still wish I had a boat.
