  2. Welcome to the forum.
  3. I think it was 30lbs in a tree. LOL OK more like 10lbs.
  4. I rig them on a 1/8oz. or a 1/4oz. owner sled head. I work them the way you did and have great look. You can flip and pitch them in heavy cover also.
  5. Thanks guys for all the info. Think I might be getting a new rod for the new year.
  6. Looking at getting a BCR864 GLX senko rod but wanted to know if it would be good for fishing with a frog also? So I wanted to know if anyone has this rod and uses it for fishing with a frog or any other style of fishing?
  7. Top 5 in no order Ike KVD Gerald Swindle Denny Brauer Greg Hackney
  8. They work for saltwater speckle trout and redfish down here in Florida so maybe you should give them a try.
  9. Thanks for the advice guys.
  10. I might be getting the new shimano chronarch 50 and wanted to know what you guys would use this reel for. Would it be a good reel for fishing with t-rigs, c-rigs, jigs, and frogs? I'm also trying to decide what rod to put this on so if you have any ideas that would be very helpful.
  11. Maybe you can get it when it snows in Florida or would that be when hell freezes over.
  12. G-Loomis's customer service is great. I have replaced 2 rods in about 7 months and have had no problems from them. Now I have one more rod to replace.
  13. What colors do you use mostly?
  14. I just started using crankbaits and I've been using the rapalas. I just saw the bandit 100 and wanted to give them a try. But I wanted to know what everyone thinks of them or should I give some other shallow running crankbait a try.
  15. I wanted to join a club but I didn't know if I need to own a boat. I know that clubs have tournments and I didn't know if I had to have my own boat to compete. Also, what clubs are near Tampa.
  16. I'm in Lutz which is about 10 minutes north of Tampa. It cools off a lot when a cold front comes in. Tomorrow will be about 38-42 in the morning. BM nice snook.
  17. I trying to figure out what kind of lures I should use in the winter. Should I fish shallow or deep? I've been using rat-l-traps and rapalas lately and have been doing good with them. But now that the temps have dropped I haven't been able to catch a fish so I hope you guys can give me some ideas. The lake I fish is full of weeds and I don't have a boat so I have to fish from the bank. If you need any other info let me know if it helps you tell me what I should be using.
  18. This maybe a stupid question but what kind of jig are you using and how do you work it?
  19. I use a Okuma expior now but before that I used a shimano symmetre.
  20. 10lb on a terminator spinnerbait.
  21. Check out karmarods.com and dudleyrods.com both in Florida. Karma rods make nice light weight rods. If you e-mail him or give him a call he will get you what your looking for. Dudley rods is great also. He uses g-loomis and st.croix blanks. If your looking for a custom made g-loomis rod give dudley rods a try.
  22. Chaos makes a nice saltwater rod but not sure about a freshwater rod. If you were in Florida I have a couple of guys that could help you.
  23. For $800 I rather get the new daiwa steez and a g-loomis rod. Sweet looking reel but I love the look of the second reel.
