I'm looking at getting one of these two reels and want to know what people think of them. I like the sol more but not sure what to do. I will be using it for fishing with jigs, t-rigs, and c-rigs. Hope someone can help me.

Hi-Vis Braid for Worming
I use the hi-vis yellow power pro and a flourocarbon leader and have no problem catching fish. I use it a lot when casting weightless lures so I can see the movement. Give it a try works great for me.

251 calcutta
I have a 251 calcutta that is about 9 years old and I was thinking of selling it. My question is how much do you guys think I can get for it. There is nothing wrong with the reel. The reason I was thinking of selling it is because I was looking at getting a new low profile reel. I've been looking at a new Shimano Curado or a Daiwa TD-Z. The other question I have is what reel should I get?

Gloomis SJR843 or SJR844?
I use the SJR843 and it's a great rod. It is not to light and you will not have any problems casting any of those lures.

Gotta Love It what were you thinking. You should have known the mosquitoes were going to be nailing you. ;D If you saltwater fish those 5" storm wildeye work great for snook in the canal and rivers this time of year. Also, congrats on your bass. Where in Tampa are you?

Flatting down barbs
I've been taking my son fishing with me lately and been worried about him getting hooked. So I took and crimped down the bards on all my treble hooks. I know saltwater guys that do this and have no problems catching fish. Wanted to know if any of you do this and do you have any problems catching fish.
