Oh yeah We call them Snot Rockets,Slime Darts,Gators,Slimy Snakes,Toothy Critters amongst other lowly names...They get in the way of my bass fishing!!!(However, they are fun to catch and put up a great fight!!)...Glad you enjoyed the post...Now get out there and get a few!!!

Hit the sheds and had a great time catching this morning....Had 6 SMB over 3 pounds within 30 min. of launching.....Then came a Monster Walleye for my friend.....6.6 pounds and made the day worthwhile for him........Fish was released to grow even bigger next time!!....Ended up w/ 22 Bass between us both, 2 Snot Rockets and a Walleye....Great way to finish the weekend!!...Here's a few of the fun!!

Dan and I hit the water while still dark and fished and fished and got only a few guppies and some slab crappies....we were kinda disappointed thinking it was going to be a better morning than what we did........We didn't give up and continued our fish finding mission and finally, the fishing Gods blessed us with bass after bass after bass......BINGO....Dan starts putting on a clinic once again.....this kid is that good........One after another---- all slobs....We found em alright....Dan got 4 over 4 pounds with the biggest being a 5.6 pound MONSTER of a bass and finally I nailed one also a 5.5 pounder shortly thereafter..Hell to the yeah!!!!..........It was so hot by 10:00am we wanted to stop,but fishing fever had us caught in the griip and we stuck it out for another 2 hrs but nothing to show except crappies......Another fine outing for the Bass Assassins!!!!(someone gave us that name)...Here's a recap

Me and Dan had high hopes today so we hit a place we haven't fished yet early , only to be rained upon for 2 hours ....It actually felt pretty good and cooled off a bit.....We knew it would push the fish a few feet deeper so we followed our idea and started hammering away.....Ended up with 20 between us.......Funny, I got all Smallmouth and Dan got all Largemouth......throw in a bunch of Pickerel and it's all good....Way to celebrate the Fourth.....Now it's time to BarbeQue and Eat!!!!!....To all the guys on this page(and their families), have a Happy and Safe Fourth of July!!!! What a way to finish this excellent weekend.....Spent Saturday with the wife in Point Pleasant and had perfect weather and a great time all day, the up and at em fishing with Dan today.... I had a feeling it was gonna be one of those days and it sure was.....60 fish between us in 6 hours....It was a slamfest from sunrise until we finished.....Only bummer was I lost 2 huge largemouth right at the boat....my fault on one for sure not re-tying twisted line that I knew was twisted and let it go.....I was silent for at least 10 minutes thinking what an idiot I was for not re-tying....Consequence was paid for....Dan continued his streak of catching bigger fish than me once again....he is a great fisherman for sure......all in all a great day on the water and now all we need is for the Yankees to win and show the Mutts that we are the Kings of NY!!....Here's a few of the highlights from today.....Until Wednesday.....

It's called fishing, not catching.....Tomorrow is another day........there are plenty more fish out there to catch, just switch up your technique a bit , try new lures......you'll get em....Have a nice day!!!

Nice one and keep up the good work......from the picture, I'd guess between 2.5 and 3 pounds.....Next time have the photog move closer...remember the secret to great pictures is your image will be what you see on the screen/viewfinder.....So my point is move closer and picture yourself seeing that same image in a magazine and move closer if you have to and the less cropping the better....What you see is what you get.......I was a professional magazine photographer for 20 years and someone taught me that many many years ago.....Great job!!!

Started out extra early this morning to hopefully get a few extra fish.......Knocked out a few nice ones throughout the morning and had a good day out there.....Really getting used to the Mojo Bass 6'8" Wacky Rod.....for the money, it's a great rod...I'm so used to Avid's and Legend Elites but I think this is a great rod for sure....very sensitive...Cranks,drop shot, and wacky senkos were today's money shots...No creepers today(well maybe the boat in the 3rd picture....j/k) even though it was pretty crowded....lol.......Here's a few to prove it really happenned....Happy Fathers Day everyone!!

Me and JF1 set out with high hopes after he kicked the ***** out of them yesterday at the same place but fish caught seemed to be smoking the pipe and had a weight problem...Saw a few deer early which were totally not camera shy......Some were nice big fish(19"+) but were skinny as a crack wh*re after a 2 week bender........I would like to thank JF1 for convincing me to try drop shotting as once I did , it was on!!!.....Fish after fish for awhile until the bite turned off(fish wen't back for more crack I guess and went on a hunger feeding strike).......Dan managed a few nice ones and it's always good to get out for a few hrs....And I broke my new Mojo Bass rod in with at least 10 Larry's and Sammy's and Crap-holes!!......Pix will follow later this afternoon...going to take a quick nap Bonus Video of Dan in action.....Click to Play

Well it was that kinda morning today......started out with a beautiful sunrise and it kept up beautiful for the next few short hours we fished....Lawrence of Arabia was the primary bite with a few Sammies also making appearances.....weather was pleasant and comfortable and the Bass seemed to recover pretty quickly from the cold front. ....senkos,hammer shad drop shot and cranks did the damage........the doubles we got were definately the highlight......Can't get enough... Well how can you go wrong when in the first 15 minutes of fishing we slammed 7 nice bass.....Our first 2 fish were a double...JF1 a Sammy and I nailed a Larry.....throughout the day we had pretty much steady action.......Lots of dinks but we ended up with 15 over 2.5 pounds up to 3.5 pounds....And check out JF1's MONSTER Crappie...He is the Crappie King.....so far this year he caught the 2 largest crappies I have ever seen....Lures ran from jigs, topwater,Power Team Lures Hammer Shads,tubes,Rapala Cranks and senkos killed them early am.....Here's some of the fun...too many pix to post today!!.... Went out to my fav. local spot w/ a buddy for just a few short hours but we put some good numbers up on the bronze fish.......Fish were going nuts on baitfish so the natural choice once again was topwater, jigs imitating baitfish, and senkos when we hit the weedbeds.....Fish were very cooperative and it made my day off excellent.....I ended up w/ 11 Smallies up to 3.5 and 3 nice snots.....Unfortunately, my partner couldn't keep the snots away from his line...Here's a few pix from the morning....Until the weekend, have a great day!!

Set out nice and early this morning to a local spot in hopes of guiding JayDBee on one of my fav. places to fish....fishing was kinda slow, not what I expected, but still all in all got a great sunburn and both got some nice ones for the photo album as well....Topwater was my bait of choice and I missed more than I caught but blowups get my heart going so I stuck w/ it as well as tubes, cranks and jigs......We both nailed some big pickerel and my biggest bass went 3 1/2.......here's some pix....Happy and Safe Memorial Weekend to everyone!!!
