I have always tied direct to the split ring.I have never used a snap.i tie with a trylene knot.

Try a Rage rig,Great way to fish plastics,Craws ,creatures and worms fish great on it and almost snag free.Fish it just like T Rig.I run a craw on it about 75 percent of the time.I like the 3/16 ounce weight 4 0 hook.Keeps it down even in the current.

I have been having great luck lately on War Eagle double willow leaf mouse color.Also like Strike king.

I got a shock and holds up really well,Wally world had it for about half price in the end of year sale.I use it alot more then i thought i would.7 ft mh ,like it for spinnerbaits.

Love being outside and on the water. Trying to out wit a bass never gets old.Plus it makes me who i am.Really cant picture life with out it.

Very often and love every minute of it.
