It's always depended on what the fish are doing for me. I've had some absolutely epic days prespawn right when the waters warmed enough for the bucks to JUST start moving up behind the females. Big fish get really aggressive. I had a 45lb limit in a small lake once and caught alot of big fish in general doing it.

Haven't fished or bought much gear in the last couple years. A favorite cold water bait was the BPS exclusives that more or less became the takahiro cranks. Looks like the .05's were discontinued. Loved these as they were small, but 3\8 ounce. You could bomb them on casting gear and cover alot of ground. I see they have them in the lucky strikes but they are half the weight. I'm a little naive as to what's out now, I know lucky craft makes alot of cranks available in alot of places. Does anyone know anything comparable? Want a small square bill but not 1/8 ounce. As an example of what I'm looking for, the 0.5's cast well with a Curado E7 spooled with 10-12lb hybrid on a Med Avid.

Hope I'm wrong as I'd like a competitive game but I think Carolina wins with a 3+ possession lead. They're a really complete team, Cam is the best player in the NFL at making a first down happen when needed. It's a tremendous card to play in situational football. You just can't game plan for a guy with that kind of vision, size/reach, and athleticism. Both Defenses are good, but the way panthers bring pressure from the middle with those two monster DT's just causes so many problems. You can deal with pressure off the edge to a degree, but the way Short and Star just collapse everything offenses have a HARD time dealing with that.

Thats the one bait in the lineup Ive never gotten a bite on. Always felt there was a better option for a given situation. Clearly folks catch fish on em.

Didnt bps run sometype of "premium" xps baits sometime 5-10 years ago. Im pretty sure thats it.

Yeah if your going to hunt alot of schools and houses also like he said he'll need the target ID and disc of a vlf. On the salt beaches you need a multi frequency vlf unit like a used explorer, dfx, or CZ. Though you only can get the coil wet. You can get all those used for CLOSE to 300 if you shop around. Really tough to find a do it all unit.

Saltwater or fresh water beaches? Any machine can handle fresh water but the conductive salt beaches, especially when you get towards the wet sand cause MOST detectors to go nuts. Generally a multi frequency rig does much better. I can tell you the ace's and euroteks will have trouble.

I own quite a few machines and hunt 4/5 days a week. Honestly at that price point on a new machine with a few exceptions you will be wasting $200 IMO.. Alot of them have little to no depth beyond 3"/4" on a coin, lack adjustability for different dirt, etc. Kind of like buying a $50 baitcaster, if your series about fishing you'll be better served just spending a bit more initially than buying something lacking AND upgrading. Not trying to dishearten you just trying to look out for ya. Speaking for myself as well as Ive heard a few buddy's say wish we hadn't wasted money initially. The ace series are popular and folks certainly find stuff with them. I personally don't like the bell tone audio, (it sounds like an elavator before the doors open and there is a delay on targets). If it were me I'd strongly suggest you look at the teknetics eurotek pro- the model that comes packaged w/the 11" DD coil (not the concentric coil). I ran that machine and was very impressed. Great separation in trash, deep, and fast audio. You may not be aware but the manufacturers restrict what units can be listed at online. Talk to a dealer and ask for his best price, the $300 eurotek may be closer to $200. Also don't overlook a gently used model, you'll get a much better machine for the money.

Still time like you said. Dicks usually roles everything out at once. Walmarts around here have basically quit selling anything other than basic hunting gear. Used to be a giant aisle of stuff every season. And then it got marked way down come january. I hate this law, once again our government trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist. Why not just put restrictions on the pee farms? Require testing or something. I use the heck out of estrus and regular doe. The regular doe has a tremendous calming influence I've found. Fortunetly I hunt in the middle of no where so my approach won't change too much if you know what I mean.

Rapala xrap walk if you can still find it or spook. That said I still prefer the sammy, even though it doesnt really walk in the traditional sense. The erratic way it spits, glides, walks and some times even pops under the surface better mimics the organic way a bait fish moves IMO. A true confidence bait. They just get bit better FOR ME. It's one of the more expensive baits that's actually worth it.

I heard buck bomb will still be legal? Something about it being a certain % synthetic. Could be hearsay. It does work quite well, though it's LOUD in the calm woods.

I picked up one w/the 7 Med pwr fast action rod about 5 years ago and have to say while the reel is excellent, the rod really suprised me. It reminds me alot of the fenwick HMG's before they changed them. Perfect for a "do it all" spinning rod. I like it much more than some $200 rods. I also have a 6' L thats okay, just a little too whippy for plastics. And harder for me to be accurate with.

Fly Dallas isnt in cap hell at all. They can do whatever they want. Yes they restructured Romo a few months back, but it was for flexibilty. As of the deal they were actually 12,000,000 under the cap. The monies not spent carry over now I believe. Many thought this move was in case a certain minnesota player became available. They'll use a chunk of the money but its not as big a deal as folks think. If they sign dez his deal will likely be structured to alleviate some of romo's hit. They did the same thing w/tyron smith where hes getting paid at his peak and an absolute bargain for his performance now. Its not the cap number; its the flexibilty. Theyve been drafting well, hitting on udfa's better than any team in football and the dead money of years past is slowly getting off the books. They are signing more low risk "prove yourself" type deals that have worked in some cases. Stephen Jones and Will McClay are the brains behind more decisions than Jerry supposedly these days and its evident in alot of the moves being made. The eagles actually have more dead money this year than Dallas lol, and sam Bradford/marc sanchez at quarterback.

The running game will be just fine as long as randle doesnt get stupid off the field again. Murray had a great season last year but we sat through 3 seasons of him being the offense's sean lee if you will. Whether it was wear and tear from the season or what, he clearly had lost a step the last 3/4 games last year. He got caught by a 13 year defensive end with open field on his big fumble in the greenbay playoff game. History says you dont give a back a big second contract, very few times does it work out. Especially coming off as carries as he had. Hate to see him go but they did the right thing. Dallas is stocking young talent and supposedly will be in very good shape cap wise next year even if dez gets tagged. I do think if hes fresh a healthy murray will be good in kelly's scheme. Marinelli's defense is predicated on frequent substitutions and if he got going on a hurry up drive its a great way to counter that type scheme. The east will be very interesting indeed. The giants have been really banged up and cruz/beckham are going to be a matchup nitemare if on the field together. Not too upset that JPP likes his fireworks lol

Dont be afraid to seek out a different medicine or even doctor. Went through a brief period a couple years ago were life was getting to me a bit. All good now w/no meds, but tried a few and they really screwed with me. One had me thinking about suicide, family members dieing, just crazyness. Also, keep in mind you're 20. You will not find a bigger mess than a 18-23 year old guy. You have no accomplishments, no experience, wisdom to draw from. We were all idiots at that age. It gets better. I really hit my stride around 26 and my bank account, caliber of ladies, truck etc all were alot different than 20. Keep doing the right things, MAKE yourself step out of your comfort zone. Strive to better yourself. Start working out. Keep a job, dont sit around as idle time isnt your friend. This will pass you just have to keep controlling what you can and moving forward. Life is 5% what happens to you and 95% hiw you react to it.

I feel they get overlooked due to being mass produced and the obnoxious name. But the booyah jigs are excellent performers, every color you'll ever need, and have high quality components in jigs that are cheaper than comparable brands. The vertical line ties come through filementous algae and hydrilla better than horizontal. Case in point, I have a lake covered in algae. The mop jig due to line tie and head are unusable. The "A jig" in the same weight can even be cast and retreived there. The boo and baby boo are great as well.

Even though its not theyre intended use, the spro phat fly in 1/8 is an absolute killer for numbers as cast and retrieve bait. 7' Medium spinning rod and 6/15 braid. Cast as far as possible, fast retrieve w/little english imparted on a tip up retrieve to mimic a baitfish darting. Drives pickeral nuts too. I like youre bait, Ive not really persued it, but have often wanted something solid white around 7-8" for a fast retreive over shallow vegetation. The larger bucktails available in retail stores are always an ounce or more, just a little too heavy and quick sinking for the early early spring shallow bite.

Get ahold of one of the remote controled, robotic predator decoys. Put it above the ceiling tiles early one morning over the cubicle bays. Start slow and work in more action/noise as you go. * tip- if there is a "bobcat in heat" sound file, thats the one you want

Me too. I've had buddies in Central Va calling brown water snakes cottonmouths for years. They can get a little "thick" and look gnarly, but yeah just a water snake. Never say never I suppose one could always hop on a boat or what not. I guess they hang out with all the large black cats people catch a glimpse of but no pictures or bodies exist lol
