what holds your tackle?..
All of my hard baits are organized into the Falcon 700 Series organizers. They have a box for lipless cranks, shallow, mid and deep running crankbaits. Then I get 1-gallon ziplock bags for all my plastics and label those bags, tubes, worms, lizards, grubs and flukes. Can't think of the other ones right now, it's been a while. It's a pretty neat system I've got going. Easy to access come tourney days.

Kia and Hyundai cars
When I met my girlfriend she had a 1999 Hyundai Tiburon. I hated that thing from the start. The thing was a pile of *****. The whole car rattled and made odd noises. Well, I finally talked her into purchasing a new vehicle. After several months of research, she bought a great car. 2006 Honda Accord. If you have the money, get a Honda Accord. You can find a brand new one for around 16,000, which is a great buy. Honda's are very reliable. Tiburon's and Elantras are junk. If you want a great higher end car, go for the Toyota Camry. The new design looks awesome and they are dependable.

Best day at work, ever...
I've never been to prison but I know of people that have and heard some great stories. The best one that is relative to this story is that those inmates at prisons do not like new blood coming in that harmed children. Thats a soft spot for most of those inmates. I'm sure this guy won't be sitting down for weeks on end. ha ha.

Classic Predictions
cbfishalot, I'm assuming the first person not to defend the Classic title was Brian Kershel, since he dead 6 months after his Classic win. Clausen might be the first to not defend by not wanting to fish B.A.S.S. I would be willing to bet that FLW and his Chevy sponsor wanted him to fish strictly FLW Outdoors events.

Classic Predictions
I do not believe Luke Clausen is fishing the Classic this year on Lay Lake. He forfeited his automatic berth by not entering the Elite Series.

does line have and expiration date?
I've read some place that it can go bad due to excessive heat while it's in storage in your garage or whatever. I'm sure others will have better answers than I had. I personally wouldn't use anything that's been sitting around for over 4 years.

Favorite brand of baitcaster?
I've only used Shimano and going into this season, I will be converting most of my baitcaster's to the Quantum Energy's. I have a burner and I will be getting a 5.1:1 gear ratio for deep cranking once the ice melts. For this poll I voted Shimano since I haven't used the Quantums yet, but I'm liking what I see from the Quantums.

Bass pro's edorsements, the same or modified?
What could they do to modify these reels? Put higher quality gears in their reels? Other than gears, what else is there to modify that would make that much of a difference from store bought items. I would guess they use the same rods/reels as we do.

900
January 22nd is going to be my one year anniversary. I plan on having a party at McDonalds to celebrate this grand occasion. This party will take place on the 20th, so the drunks will have a day to recover before heading back home. You all are invited from BassResource.com.

Where's Titon Mike been lately. I was thumbing through the members list here and he hasn't posted since like early December.

Where do they go when the sun comes out
;D ;D you got it ;D ;D

Where do they go when the sun comes out
I would guess that when the sun comes out the bass will go lay out on the beach, possibly under an umbrella so they don't get to tan.

Hides the line in the water.

my complaint about the spro bronze eye frog
Spro's are the only frogs I use and I have never had any issues with them while casting. I can toss those babies out at least 40yards. I use a Shimano Castaic on a 6'6" MH Fast action St. Croix with 30lb Sufix Braid.

tackle price increases
I hate using this as an excuse. petroleum was up for maybe a year and it's back down to what it was about 3 years ago. Here in Minnesota, it finally got under $2 per gallon again. Our local garbage hauler installed a $1.50 gas surcharge when diesel prices were outrageous, now that the prices came back down, do you think they will relax that surchage. Most likely not. Petroleum prices are just a good reason for companies to screw everyone over. Just my opinion.

Tournament Fishing and Fast Boats
At the professional level..BASS and FLW...all those boats are comparable in motor size. Of course a fast boat, 60+mph, is needed to get to those far away places.

Stupid Fishing Laws
Georgia In Ackworth all households must own fishing poles. Idaho You may not fish on a camel's back. Residents may not fish from a giraffe's back. Illinois It is forbidden to fish while sitting on a giraffe's neck. Kansas No one may catch fish with his bare hands. Kentucky It's illegal to fish in the Ohio River in Kentucky without an Indiana Fishing License. Montana It is illegal for married women to go fishing alone on Sundays, and illegal for unmarried women to fish alone at all. New Jersey It is against the law for a man to knit during the fishing season. Ohio It is illegal to get a fish drunk. It is illegal to fish for whales on Sunday Oklahoma Whaling is illegal. Oregon Canned corn is not to be used as bait for fishing. Pennsylvania You may not catch a fish by any body part except the mouth. You may not catch a fish with your hands. Dynamite is not to be used to catch fish. Tennessee It is illegal to use a lasso to catch a fish You can't shoot any game other than whales from a moving automobile. Utah It is against the law to fish from horseback. It is considered an offense to hunt whales.

Tournament Fishing and Fast Boats
I'm sorry, I'm not trying to beat a dead horse here but I must say. If Ike tryed to get his boat into a place with low water levels and he damaged the boat for being stupid, while getting it stuck all at the same time. He should not be giving another boat to fish from, he should have to suffer and deal with it. On the other hand, if your screaming down the lake and the big motor breaks down, THEN B.A.S.S. would supply him with a new boat to use, or if his trolling motor break down. But that only happens on the final day, when they use the sponsored rigs. If Ike got his boat stuck and damaged it in the process, and they gave him a new boat for it, I would be ticked off if I was competing against him because you shouldn't be rewarded with a new boat.

tackle price increases
I was at Gander Mountain recently in Minnesota and noticed the Yamamoto Senkos were selling for $6.99. Now that is a joke. I believe last year they were $5.49 or $5.99. I believe they pack 8 senkos, that's almost $1 per senko. Good thing I don't purchase those things anymore.

The new Issue of Bassmasters..Its Good
It seems tough to relate to any of those magazines if your from the north. Seems like all those magazines are geared toward the southern lakes where there is fishing year round and the fish don't have to go dormate for 4 months while ice is over head. Bassin' is a great magazine and I would also recommend it. What/who is on the latest bassmaster magazine? Since I like fishing for smallmouth up here in Minnesota, I might have more interest than normal.

Tournament Fishing and Fast Boats
There there sir would be illegal and he would of been DQed if he jumped into another boat if he got himself stuck during the tournament. The only time they can switch boats is if the boat they are giving to compete in the final day of the tournament breaks down. They then provide him with a boat asap. Also, I think the reason this thread was started, was for a far different reason that just strictly horsepower, like what is being talked about in here. Obviously we were originally talking about lower end tournaments, and if somebody is running a 50hp compared to others in a 250hp. The 50hp guy will not run a long distance and find fishing spots closer to the launch. They adapt.

FINALLY !!! Ohio State vs. Florida
People, Ohio State hasn't played a meaningful game in over 50 days. Don't you think you would lose some of that competitive edge that you built up while playing the regular season. I can't stand some of the people on EPSn talking about how the Big 10 teams need to rethink how they play in there conference because they didn't compete this year. Well, funny, if I recall, just two or three seasons ago, Ohio State was the National Champion. One year it's PAC10 school that wins it all, then it's BIG10, then SEC, then some other conference another year. I'm not sure how they justify putting Wisconsin ahead of Michigan in the polls. Michigan smoked Wisconsin in the regular season. Michigan played in the rose bowl and lost to a 2 loss team in USC. Wisconsin beats a 3 loss team in Arkansas. I'm willing to bet USC would smoke Wisconsin and Michigan would beat Arkansas. I can't stand these polls and some of the logic these voters use to vote.

MT FIRST TOURNAMENT
All I'm saying is... attempt to keep those fish alive at all costs. You should do whatever it takes to let that fish survive. I could compare it to a person in a car crash and the medics deciding if they should even help the injured person, since they will die eventually anyways. That's a bit harsh, but that's what I'm comparing this too. That medic would do everything to save someone's live, maybe you should be the medic for your bass in the tournament. Do whatever it takes to keep that fish alive.

MT FIRST TOURNAMENT
The fish should be released before it's about to die. The survival rate of a hook in a fish's gut is rather high. So it would survive back in the lake, but it will die in your lifewell, unless you are a magician and can keep your livewell with a perfect PH level so your fish can breath normal. Actually, I would and have released a middle sized fish in my livewell that was dying during a tournament. It was hooked rather early in the day, so I was able to replace it with a similar sized fish. I guess up here in Minnesota/Wisconsin, things are a little different. Wisconsin is pretty much trying to eliminate bass tournaments across the state, if you read the FLW letter they sent to the DNR of Wisconsin, you would understand everything. Here in Wisconsin, I couldn't do a simple shoreline release for a small ABA tournament. They make me bring the fish to the middle of the lake to release them, they feel the water there is cooler for the fish when they get put back into the water and that they have more oxygen in the middle rather than the hot shoreline during the summer months with little oxygen.
