Crankbait rod?
Clue me in on where you get them for $80 and on sale for $60. If I recall, St. Croix Premier baistcasting rods run just over $110.

Chatterbait, what color is better?
You catching a monster with that, and making millions. That's the worst I can see happening.

Chatterbait, what color is better?
Majority of the chatterbait should be white...that is the all purpose color for chatterbaits and spinnerbaits.

Interesting Article: Rapala Acquires Terminator
Avid just wrote about this. BassMachine, I think you have it backwards. It's bad that one company is buying out all the small competitors because what this does is drive prices up because Rapala won't have these little companies keeping the prices down. I'm sure Normark will keep the terminator packaging on those jigs and spinnerbaits, just like they did the Storm line. The average weekend angler won't even know the deal went down. I'm sure the average fisherman doesn't even know that normark/rapala owns Storm. I can see Rapala prices going up across the board in a year or two. Monopolies suck.

MY BOAT IS DONE!!
redline, just a question here but doesn't some bass tournament circuits allow a maximum horsepower of 250. I've seen and heard of people with 300 horsepower motors that purchase 250 decals to get by the hp restriction for tournaments. Is your boat a tournament boat or a guide boat?

Custom rod builders
I'm looking for somebody to build me a custom lipless crankbait rod. 7' Medium Power, Moderate Action with a 9-10" butt section. I would like the blank to be a dark blue or cranberry red color. I am looking for a rod builder that can build this rod. I've already looked into crazy fish rods and they couldn't help me because they use there own parts, that I wasn't happy with. Does ReelMech build rods and is he experienced?

?BEST ROD MANUFACTURE?
I've fished with St. Croix Premiers for the past 4-5 years and as of this past season, started switching over to Falcon Cara Reactions. Someone should put up a poll for this topic.

Top 10 List THINGS FISHING PARTNER SAYS
Those bill dance bloopers are all made up. You don't really take that seriously do you? Come on, how does a trailer come unhooked from the ball and how do the safety chains magically come undone also? All those bloopers are fake to sell a video.

Computer Question
I've used all of those programs, and Explorer is by far the best program. Mozilla Firefox is garbage and has just as many issues.

st croix //// avid or premier cranking stick ???
I've used premiers for the past 5 years and had great results with them, never had an issue. Worth the money.

Minn Kota Modification??
How exactly would that void the warranty?
-
Crankbait rod?
Look at Falcon Rods, they have descriptions of what each rod is good for.
-
Minn Kota Modification??
I'm guessing they allow you to switch that around. Take out the screws and see if you can rotate the head to see if other holes lineup.
-
Frozen Guides
Would a spray of WD40 on the guides help this matter? or just push the button at the butt of the rod that warms the rod up.

MY BOAT IS DONE!!
Thats a huge boat. Is it coming with electronics in it already, or is that the next step in your building process?

Fall River Smallies
Find the closest drop off to where you usually fish for smallies in the spring time. On the St. Croix in Hudson, I found them off the drop off of a main point on the river in around 7-8 feet. I'd camp on the point in around a foot or two of water, and cast down the drop off and reel towards the shallower water. Worked for me. If your lake is 6' feet at the deepest, I'm thinking those fish travel to a deeper part of the river, since that area probably freezes all the way to the bottom. You should be able to find the smallies in that 6' hole early fall.
