  1. I love dove hunting. I'm ready for sure.
  2. Hogs, pheasant, quail, ducks and dove for me. Never got into deer hunting, just to pretty for me to shoot.
  3. d**n dude, don't get close to anyone you care about. Keep a safe distance.
  4. If you ever want to go up and learn the lake holler, I'd be happy to show you the channels and try to catch a few.
  5. kylek, The main lake gets beat up bad by recreational fishermen that don't know the channels so the best fishing is going to be past the bridges on Camp Branch or Little Platt but that is also where a lot of lower units are lost if you don't know your way around. I will be up there all weekend in a tournament and could show you around some. If interested pm me and I will give you my cell number.
  6. The 185 series was a good hull and rode great for a 18 foot boat. A recessed trolling motor tray can be installed aftermarket, I put one on a Champion boat in less than an hour.
  7. Yup, you're in trouble.
  8. The hulls that had a built in set back started with the 400 series 461, 462, 481, 482 and so on. I would say somewhere around 1994-5. There have been very few dramatic hull changes from Ranger in the last 10 years or longer. They have changed the top caps quite often to ad more features. Take for instance a Z520 and Z520c, the hulls are the same but as the C indicates the Z520c has a new design top cap. As for a recessed trolling motor tray that was an option through the mid 2000's. I had a 2004 188DVX that had one but it was an option when I bought it. I have a 2013 Z521 ordered and they are standard now but I'm not sure on the year they made them standard.
  9. Ranger hasn't built a bad hull for years if ever. Now outboards are a whole different story.
  10. Not sure if any of you guys fish Smithville but I'm going up there Saturday morning for a few hours. If anyone wants to go send me a message.
  11. If I could only use one lure for an entire year it would be a jig fo sho.
  12. You can expect poor at best performance from any Wal-Mart battery. Everstart batteries are made to a price point and are not top of the line. The best quality lead acid battery I have found are the Interstates.
  13. Know the rules. What Felix said, fish your strengths. Tournaments are not a time to try new tactics. Most importantly have fun, don't get so worked up about competing that you lose the fun part of it.
  14. I only name mine on days something goes wrong with it.
  15. Salenity what are you selling?
  16. I ran Yamaha outboards for 10 years and never had an issue with one. They are as dependable as any outboard on the market. I will say the Optimax gets better fuel economy than the HPDI.
  17. I had an 03 ZX200 with a 200 HPDI and it was one of the best boats I ever had. A second console does make the boat fish smaller but is really nice for passengers if you fish buddy tournaments.
  18. Oh my mistake. What year is it? If it is an oil alarm it won't allow it to get off idle.
  19. You took your new Ranger out and it runs like ass? I would be having the dealer pick it up at my house and get it fixed or am I missing something here?
  20. Most definitely will pray for you.
  21. Who's to say W&M doesn't super tune his reels. They may look the same but not be the same mechanically.
  22. Flukes, swim baits and an A-rig.
  23. Blue, time to upgrade to a bigger boat. I just happen to know where a 2011 Triton 19XS is for sale, with BIG livewells.
