Nh Rules Need To Clarify
I respect what you say, but if you have to read a rule and can't make heads or tails from it, than the rule either needs to be changed or clarifyed, I feel it is a way for the wardens to interpret it the way they want. I have gone over the rules and still can't decide can I fish this place or not. MA along with many other states have open seasons yr round and it hasn't hurt the fishing matter of fact their trout fishing is much better than NH, and if I'm fishing for bass (catch and release) how am I hurting the trout /salmon fishing. Yes it is very importing to protect & preserve our fish and wildlife and regardless of what laws are in place we have to obey them, But if you can decipher the rules on what body of water can be fished and when, by what is written in those laws, than your a better man than I am. Remember one thing, along time ago in this country the government wanted to tax tea, fortunetly alot of people didn't like that law...............

Nh Rules Need To Clarify
Trying to figure out the laws in NH you'd have to be a Philadelphia lawyer, what lake is open on Apr1st then if it has lake trout in it apr 28th and so on & so on, just do what most of the other states do, keep it open yr round, and thats it. most of the trout fishing is put and take anyway. we've just had a nice stretch of weather and can't go fishing on a lot of nice bass lakes cause they have trout in them, in the mean time people could have been bass fishing, stoping in at stores buying subs, sodas, water, filling up with gas or using motels which relate to $$$$$ for the local economy. Times have changed most anglers fish for bass not trout and if most bass anglers catch a trout as well as bass they are releasing it anyway, Time for fish and game and law makers to get up with the times. There thats my rant for the day now I'm happy

Fishing Partner Wanted
Hello, I live in Dracut, and also own a Lund, mine an Exlorer SS 17ft set up for bass fishing. I also fish mostly in Me, through the Sebago region. Have never fished Canobie but do have access to Cobbetts I'm 65yrs old and have just recently retired, & am looking for someone to fish with, as most of my friends are younger and still working. I also have a boat that I use for the Quabbin (16ft with a 25hp four stroke). so if you'd like to hook up, shoot me an email and I'm sure we could put something together

Lake Cobbosseecontee
It's a gd bass lake, be careful not everything is marked as far as rocks and other undrwater structure go. there is a nice ramp with alot of parking on the west wide of the lake. It being a north and south facing lake any heavy wind from those directions can get rough. There is gd fishing everywhere, just like anywhere else use your depth finder locate humps and drop offs(there are many) I usually throw senkos, spider grubs, & alot of soft plastics will usually work. Unfortunetly someone put northerns in there and it has downgraded the bass fishing, but like i stated it is a gd bass lake and holds some really big fish, that time of yr & with the very light winter the fish prbably will just be finishing up with the spawn, the southern end of the lake will have the most grass, along with alot of the coves. On the east side there are 2 big coves that if u like to pitch jigs can be fairly productive. I would recommend getting a map (northern bass supply). It's a real pretty lake and a pleasure to be on, don't forget to get a ME invasive weed sticker, I think they're $15, and they do check for stickers U can bet you'll see a Maine warden on the lake especially on the wkend. Gd luck. If you would like a little more info e-mail me & I'll give u my #.

Swimming Worms
Just read an article on swimming plastic worms,I've done the typical texas rigged slow drag with success, but this seems to cover water fairly quickly, anyone here do this? If so could U explain your technique and the type of worm you use

How to fish an X-Rap.
I have to agree with Crestliner, I've caught alot of bass on the Xrap, Silver/black, Clown & on the Pointer, when the water is really cold, long pauses is the way to go, as long as 25-seconds, also agree with Phanchise, jerk it from 9 to 6. and as long as the line isn't to heavy it will turn. Love to see those smallies come rocketing in from nowhere to grab it. It's all about the presentation.

Hey all, I'm a new member from Ma, I'm recently retired, so I'm looking forward to the extra fishing time. I've been an avid bass fisherman for 25yrs, fish mostly in Maine,& NH, but I love chasing the Smallies on the Big Q, in Ma, haven't caught any of those occassinal 6 lbs from there, but I'll never stop trying. I own 2 boats, one is a 16ft set up for the Quabbin, the other is a 17ft Lund.
