Haha I don;t know about that but I have not fished that lake yet it is on my to do list along with Champlain and the Connecticut River in Conn again I did that in 91 for the Maine state team for the regionals there was something about it I liked very much but the tides wasnt one of them.

Water has been 62-65 mousam and little Ossipee. I have a mini vacation coming the first week of Oct I'm escaping turning 50 lol I'm thinking of doing China or Cobessee I have personally seen a 10 pound fish at Cobessee many years ago when I did BASS tournament for the state.

Any one finding any bass that are starting the fall feeding pattern? Southern Maine and Southern NH just not happening for me.

Anyone here use a PVS system for their mercury outboard? Found out I have a prop that allows me to fine tune my hole shots. Picked up some medium size hole plugs to see if there's any improvements.

I have talked with the likes of Hank Parker and Bill Dance a few years ago and they said the main reason for not fishing our waters is because the lakes are to clear. Now if both of them have the same answer then it just proves they are scared of not succeeding in front of the camera.

Did Mousam Lake in ME today in this crazy weather, Did a lunker tournament with some good friends ended up second with a 3lb fish taking home $40 first was a ounce heavier then me. The rain and the fact they lowered the lake 6 inches did not help the fishing at all. the only pattern I could find was finding down trees from the shore to the water and hitting them with wacky rigged senko's black with red neon. I threw everything in my arsenal including rattle traps and rage craws. Hope everyone else had luck in the water.

Fishing today with a bunch of friends for a one fish tournament. Taking my dad this time should be fun with the weather out today if we are able to dodge the rain.

Did little ossipee ME today my friend didn't feel like fighting any NH traffic in the early morning hours. Caught about a dozen and a half. Most of the fish were caught on any wind blown points on the main lake. Inside the coves didnt produce anything. No big sizes all cookie cutter size but still fun to catch. Texas smoke worms wacky rigged. red/purple flash skirted chatter bait with a shad kietech gold flash swimbait. Don't know why but this produced the hits. Black jigs with berklys chigger craw (pumpkin seed green) All in all a good day no mater what.

Fishing tomorrow but I just don't know where yet, so many lakes to choose from.

Fished Arrowhead lake in Maine for a fun lunker tournament a few ounces from taking the money but that's how it goes. Lots of 1- 2lb fish, my big fish was a hair under 3 that I was able to show. I lost a big one by thinking I could lip it next to the boat it ended up freaking out when it saw my hand and snapping my line the wacky rig was attached to. So rule of thumb if money is involved use the freaking net Hope everyone got to enjoy this cooler weather outside. What worked anything that had red from worms, d bomb jigs, jig trailers (rage) and chatterbait trailer,

I have heard pike in different places even in Mendums but no strong populations other then normal places and rivers CT and Merrimack, In Maine Long Lake is being recognized as having some heavy pike now, I have had some decimate my bass lures a couple times.

I was right next door on Swains the wind was strong in the morning because of that I canceled my idea of fishing Alton Bay at Winni.

Just got finished fishing Swains almost 2 dozen and if you know anything about Swains there aren't to many big fish in there. Was catching both LM and SM in there today. Swains is like my therapy lake I go when I need to go back to basics. I will be fishing till the last week in Oct or the first hard frost then its time to put my boat in hibernation. NH Bassin you mentioned that Northwood has been getting pressure from back to back tournaments I just checked the NH calender and your right, 13 weeks of tournaments this year so far. The NH state fish biologist who handles these permits should be fired for letting this happen! The local clubs should be more responsible and pick some different lakes. Being a past club officer and tournament director I was always conscious of the fact of how the calendar and lakes matched up versus other clubs in the state. Maine has a limit of 4 tournaments (bigger lakes 5) per lake per year to reduce that amount of stress. Remember we are all conservationists! Looks like I will be on Arrowhead Sunday with a bunch of fishing friends. Have fun all.

Tough day fishing on Northwood I only caught 1 smallmouth about 2 lbs my buddy Paul caught 3 fish including one at 5.2 lbs. He says its the moon phase (full) I don't get to much into that, all I can say it was a tough day on a lake I have never fished before. Chatterbaits were the winners for both of use but Paul also got 2 with a 5/8 black jig rigged with a black neon rage chunk.

Another day of fishing on vacation this time Northwood lake. This one is new to me. I don't why I haven't fished this since it is close enough for me to travel to. The gentleman who I am taking with me has won a couple tournaments on it so I think I can at least find something. Have a good day all.

Believe it or not I have the original bags of these in the hundred packs when I used to buy them 20+ yrs ago at northern bass when I used to tournament fishing I still have usa black(black w/red,blue white speck), chart, smoke blue (blue gill), rootbeer float (pumkinseed brown with white tail) and craw orange(orange with black speck). these were my favorite colors back in the day.

Fished Mousam today with my dad. It was a good biting day the bigger fish were scarce with my biggest at just under 4lbs but my dad had a blast no matter what catching 3 nice quality fish to smile about. As people always say its not quantity but the company you fish with. He is always happy to show off the fact he can catch a bass no matter what time of year with a blazing yellow chartreuse gitzit. Next Lake will be Northwood Weds

Fished Lovell Lake with some long time friends today nothing impressive as far as catch goes a bunch of rats nothing over a pound and a half. The storms from yesterday put the fish in hiding. Chatterbaits, Tubes and wacky rigged baits worked. did lose about a 3lb smally off a chatterbait it put up several jumps fighting me before it spit out my lure guess I will just have to catch him another day. Tomorrow I will be on Mousam with my dad.

It's a awesome lake I have been fortunate to take a canoe out there several times. Smallmouth are awesome there and as you have shown there is nothing like the northern woods surrounding the lake. I stay in Errol and don't forget to stop at LL Cote sport center there is nothing like it around.

Bought my Tracker Avalanche from a my local marine dealer used, You can't go wrong with Nitro/tracker I was lucky the dealer had all the records on everything they had done on the boat. I am very sold on these boats very rugged. My next one will be a Nitro for sure. I second the responder saying check your local dealer/mechanic you will need them.

I know what you mean about non-fishermen in the boat, I brought my wife once....she said it's about as much fun to her as watching grass grow. So now I know I don't have to ask her to go fishing anymore

Haven't heard to much other then it's been real slow up there. I know there is a tourny on Winni the 30th so expect about 30 boats then.
