Need Guide Recommendation For Table Rock
With out a doubt, Pete Wenners. By far the best guide I've ever fished with. Two years in a row, we fished with him on the first day of our week long trip and he gave us his cell# and told us if we saw him on the lake to come over and he'd give us current info. Great guy, guide and gentleman. You can't go wrong with Pete.

Golf Vs Fishing

Fishing Clothing
JAMES 14, Look on page 399 of the 2112 BPS catalog. Lower right corner. I have used gloves like these for years A pair last me 2-3 years and I fish alot. They don't hamper fishing at all and they really are comfortable.

Lets Get A Wisconsin Thread Going. I Know There Are Wis Members
Scarecrow, there are great landings at both little Sturgeon and Potawatomi Park. Both run by the state. Good ramps and parking. I am not sure about sport shops in the area but ask around, i'm sure they are there. Good Luck

How Long Should It Last?
I have 8 Shimano Curado reels that I purchased between 1998 and 2002. I paid $120 for each of them. They have never failed me.. I clean and oil each spring. $120 was a lot for a reel at that time. You get what you pay for. I feel that I got what I paid for.

Scarecrow, you might want to look at " Little Sturgeon" bay as a spot to fish . Just a few miles south of Sturgeon Bay. Great smallmouth fishing. Also, Sawyer Harbor at the mouth of the ship canal on the bay side in Potawatomi Park. Early morning topwater bite is fantastic. ( chugbug, pop'rs, etc.) rest of the day just drag goby colored tubes or grubs on a jig. Any sportshop in the area can help with the colors. Good luck and have fun.

Eythebassman. Go to Bassmaster.com. Click on tournys at the top of the page, then click on "elites" click on " marshal" then go to the Green Bay tourny. and fill out the application. I don't know if they have any space left, but it's worth a try. Good luck

True Story.
I was fishing pool "10" on the Mississippi River a couple of years ago with a "salad spoon" Had a blow up and set the hook. A 3.8 lb. bull frog weighed on a digital scale. Frog legs are good eating.I have a photo of the frog but I have to find it. They probably eat 1 lb. bass.

Bassmasters Coming To Green Bay, I'm A Marshal. Ideas.
It was announced that the Bassmaster "mystery lake" was Green Bay. I live in Green Bay and got on the Bassmaster web site and signed up to be a marshal. Just wondering how many BR members have been a marshal, what is expected of a marshal, what are the do's and dont's. Do you talk to the anglers, can you ask questions or are you expected to just sit there and only talk if talked to.? I am pumped about the chance to spend a day with at least 2 of the best of the business and maybe 3 if my application was in early enough. Anyway, just wondered what you have to say. Thank you for any advice.

The Bassmasters "mystery lake" is Green Bay. Announced this p.m. I got on the net to be a marshal and received my confirmation about 4:00 p.m. I'm pumped. Hope the weather is decent, because a 30 mile trip on Green Bay in big wind will be torture. Should take between 70-80 lb.s to win it. Two Bassmaster tournys in Wis. in one year, Whod a thunk.

What's The Most Bizarre Thing That's Ever Happened To You While Fishing?
I was flyfishing the Yellowstone river in Yellowstone National park back in the 80's A guy on the other side of the river hooked a nice trout As it was thrashing around on the surface, a pelican swooped down and picked it up. The guy is now fighting a bird with a 6 ft. wingspan instead of a 16" trout. Guy lost,as the pelican flew away with the trout and his flyline. He yelled across the river to me that, "no one is going to believe me, when I tell this story" I told him to meet me back at the parking lot later. I wrote out the whole story on the back of a Yellowstone Park information sheet and included my name and phone number. Two of his Trout Unlimited friends called me to see if his story was true".All fisherman lie a little, but some storys just can't be made up"

Thanks for replying guys.Ewedbass, I'm sure glad I don't have to fish in your corner of the state, the pleasure boats and jetskis have to be a *****. Intruder,My best friend has a cabin in McGregor Iowa. I spend about 20-30 days a year down there. My favorite are Wyalusing, Spring lake and downtown PDC. I have cabin about 60 miles north of Green Bay and spend about 90 days a year up there. ( i'm retired) I fish Boulder lake, Paya lake, Boot lake,,Bearpaw lake, and Archibald. There are some great LM in these lakes but far more 10-12 in. fish I f I catch 2 legals I'm happy. Smallie fishing in downtown Green Bay in May, (Fox river) is fantastic.. Red and Chart. cranks and spinner baits are all you need, fish the rip-rap all the way from the mouth up to the dam llets keep this thread going for awhile. I'm going to be gone for the next 2 weeks. ( fishing Kentuckey Lake) I hope when I come back there will be a lot of posts from Wis. bass fisherman. Keep the lines tight.

Ky. Lake Next Week?
Hi guys, I'm heading to Ky. lake on Monday. We were down there last year at the same time. That was right in the middle of all the storms. I know that things are a lot different this year with the early warm weather. I'm just wondering, if the bass are spawning, pre spawn or post spawn or all of the above? We caught a lot of fish last year in 3-10 ft. of water on shakeyheads, t-rigged lizzards and spinnerbaits. We are staying in the Jonathan Creek area. Not asking for any secrets or areas, just what do you think the conditions warrant. We will be down there for two weeks. Any ideas and information would be welcomed. Thank You.

Help With Senkos Please
Funny, I just posted a question about Senkos. I just don't know about your lake. I do know that I catch a lot of bass on a senko. A funny, true story, Two years ago I was fishing Rayburn in Texas. We had been there for 10 days and had caught a lot of fish. We had a great time, The last day, we couldn't catch a fish to save a life. The boat alnding was about 5 miles from where we were staying and I took the boat over to the landing while my buddy brought the trailor to the landing. I had to wait about 30 min. for him to show up. At the landing was a grandmother with 2 10-12 year old grandaughters. They were casting on the slab on the landing. I'm sitting in the boat and enjoying watching these little girls casting and all of a sudden, one starting screeming. She caught a 2 lb. LM on a "get this" a pink senko on the landing slab. I guess this is why we fish.

Kinami Baits/yamamoto Baits, What's Up?
I'm going over my tackle, getting ready for my trip to Ky. lake next week, I have "senko" type baits from Yamamoto and Kinami. I know that Kinami is owned by Gary Yamamoto's son. They seem to feel the same. Kinami baits are packaged with 7 to a bag and senkos are packaged 10 to a bag. What's up. Is this just a tool to sell more "senkos" fewer in a package at a lower price? Less quality? Just wondering.
