I Think They Are Hitting The Blades
Try using a 3 in. grub as a trailer. It gives the fish something to hit other than the blades. I have used this for years with great results.

How To Stop Beating The Banks?
I just looked BPS and Cabela's catalogs. They both list 4 models for under $80.00. Remember, what is now $80 has the power and options that we paid $300-$400 for just a few years ago. All these models have a greyline feature that will tell you the type of bottom, ie: hard, soft, muddy etc. they will show depth, contour, structure etc. You already have a battery so there is no cost for that and the transducer can be mounted with 2-3 screws and some silicone. 80 bucks will give you a great start at deeper water fishing. Good Luck and don't forget, you can fish wacky rigged Senkos in deep water too.

How Far Do You Travel To Fish?
10 minutes to the mouth of the Fox river/lower Green Bay. An hour to the upper bay. So far this year I've made a trip to Ky. lake 1300 mi round trip and 2 trips to the Mississippi river pools 9/10 . 500 mi. round trip. Leaving tomorrow for another 10 day attack on the Mississippi river bass population.

Lamprey Eels & Leeches
The lamprey eel is not native to the great lakes. It invaded the great lakes when the lakes were open to ocean traffic. There is a freshwater lamprey (type) eel that is native to some waters of the US.

Table Rock Lake??
I have fished with Pete Wenners twice and found him to be the "best" of the many guides I have fish with over the years. He even offered his cell number to ask questions later in the week if we had any. That's service.

Sturgeon Bay Open Wow!
unless they applied for and received an "exception" from the Wis. DNR, there is a no culling rule in Wis. BASS was given an "exception" for the 2 Tourneys they held last year. However, most tourneys do not get that.

Sturgeon Bay Open Wow!

Braid And Real Magic
This question may have been asked and answered. If so I'm sorry for asking it again. I'm leaving for a two week trip to Ky.Lake on Thurs. I have 4 stadics and extra spools loaded with 8 lb. diameter power-pro. I use real magic on all mono but does anyone use it on braid? Thanks for you answers.

Illinios, Wisconsin, Iowa, Where Are The Bass
They are still driving on northern Wis. lakes. Chance that some lakes will still have ice by our opener on first Sat. in May. WE have "chances" of snow a couple of nights this week according to our "weather guessers" It's looking like no spring before summer this year.

Falcon Lake Not What It Used To Be.
Your guides didn't have a clue? Come on man. Those 3 fish in the picture are PB for 98% of the posters on this website. If you don't want to "haul your boat" 1400 mi. , don't complain if the guides don't fish the way you do. You must know far more than they do. The Pro's caught over 100, but you didn't. Get over your self. "Falcon isn't what it used to be." In your mind because the few days you fished didn't live up to your desire.

Public Fishery Problems
Did you think about the fact that that there are not that many bass in that pond. Public, others are keeping what they catch. No reproduction. Maybe not what you are doing, but low bass population.

Those Old Folk Lore Fishing Rules
If you get a chance to go fishing, go. God does not count the days you fish from your allotted time. I should live to a least 155. My wife believes I should have died 2 weeks after we were married 42 years ago. My sons wife hasn't talked to me in the 17 years they have been married because I taught him to fish when he was young. All 7 of my grandkids had new, good fishing equipment on their 3'rd birthday. If fishing wasn't what I was supposed to do, I sure wasted the first 67 years of my life, but I don't think so. Tight lines my fellow anglers. CPR and enjoy the best sport./

The Ice Is Gone Yipee

New Tackle Sugestions
You asked about lipless cranks. The Cordell "Spot" is a good one and sells for about $3.00. Silver/blue, Red, and shad colors.
