I will echo the above. If you are wanting GLX/NRX performance, you're better off in the Elite/Extreme series. The LTB is no slouch and the blank is fantastic but in my hands they are annoyingly tip heavy and the sk2 reel seat is ridiculously uncomfortable. Hold one before you buy if you can. Some like the reel seat and tip heaviness is relative to the person holding it.

893 would be perfect. the 873 is a little more stout

What he said. Also, you're going to be fishing a lot of rocky structure so be sure to check your mainline a lot. Braid + rocks can be a disaster.

yes. bocabearings website sells "kits" for an entire reel. When you view the kit for your reel, they list the size of each bearing in the kit. You're looking for the cast control knob bearing.

I personally will never sell any of my TD-Z's and will buy them before I buy any new reel on the market today (new sv zillion aside). With the 7:1 gear ratio up grade available, there isn't an application they can't handle /w the 100m or r+ spool. With that said....I get it....new shiny reels are hard to pass up and the alphas sv has quite the following. Make a note that if you do sell the TDZ and regret it, they are probably going to be harder to come by /w the new SV spools coming out for the zillion and the 100m being discontinued. long story short, keep it and buy an alphas.
