Since Flyfisher has chose to foolishly better himself through his career and avoid priorities like Fantasy Football , I am going to try to get enough interest in a NFL Pick em' survivor league so he doesn't feel left out. I don't know if the 25$ fee was a little steep for some but hopefully an entry fee for this league of 10$? (I can do more if we get more interest just let me know)will attract more attention. The rules are simple. Be the last person standing without picking a losing game during the regular season. Each week you choose a winner of an NFL game. You can only use each team ONCE during the season. If the team you choose to win does not win, you are out. If the game you choose has a tie, you are out. If your chosen team wins, you advance to the following week. Picks will end WEEK 17. If there is still a tie at the end of week 17, the person who chooses the game with the highest combined points wins. If there is still a tie, I will go back 1 week and take the combined score of the game of your last weeks pick and the highest point total wins. This next rule is important and imperative to be followed correctly. If choosing a team for the Thursday night game, your pick MUST be in before kick off. If choosing a team for the SundayMonday games, ANY and ALL picks must be in BEFORE kick off regardless of early/mid/night game If there is a Saturday game or 7am Sunday game (London game), your pick must be in before kick off. I will be keeping track of your picks for my own record but it is your responsibility to keep track of your own as well. If no selection is made for the week, you are out. All picks must be sent VIA PM. I will make a post each week prior to each day's starting games on who is picking who and who advances. Bullying and mocking is encouraged for poor picks but please be respectful. Buy in will be 10$-No rebuys. Winner takes all Payment can be sent paypal or check/money order. Just finished up polishing off the league settings. Make sure you guys read through the rules carefully. I added the defensive scoring. Everything you need to know for rules/scoring/draft is on the league page. There are a few small changes due to league size set to 8. I've never had to get involved /w any "odd" trades but will veto obvious collusion. i.e Trading Dez Bryant for a 3rd string RB. Again, I don't foresee this being an issue with you guys. It takes 3 (instead of the standard 4) to veto a trade. Playoffs will get weeks 14/15 -4 teams will make the playoffs -I can change this if you guys would rather have 6 make it instead and have playoffs be 14/15/16 and have top from each division get a week 14 bye. I can do this at anytime so let me know if that's what you guys prefer. The last place finisher of the league needs some punishment. i.e has to change his avatar to something stupid for X amount of months or have a tag line "I'm a pretty little girl" or something along those lines. The person that finishes second to last is responsible for dolling out this punishment. Keep it respectable but make sure he knows he lost.

update original post as we have minimum amount of members and an agreed upon payment method. For those participating, how do you guys feel about the defensive scoring for return yards? I can add 1 point per 10 yards for kick return and punt return if you guys like. This is super fun and causes defenses to matter much more picking them. The only thing I cannot add is 10 yards for return yards during an INT. So a Pick 6 will only net you 8 points (6td + 2 INT) and get you no return yards but a kick returned(punt of kick off) for a TD can potentially net 16 points (6 td + 100 yards at 1 point per 10 yards return). for the most part, an average defense in this type of scoring is usually around 12 points with some teams scoring 25+ each week and others scoring less than 6. If you guys want, I'll add this. If not, no biggie.

In general, NFL players taken to court take a very long time and go very slooooooowwww. If anything, this case is likely to be resolved post Bowl. It could very well be resolved mid season and Brady could serve the 4 games if he loses. Unfortunately, the case is being taken to a minnesota court that had been nothing but "a thorn" in the nfl's side. Its likely we see him all 16 games and into the post season. When marshawn lynch was charged with reckless driving and DUI i think that case took 2 years or something to come to fruition.

I doubt he misses any games this year. He will obviously take the nfl to court and most likely be able to play through the process. This will be interesting....

You're a couple weeks late to the party

Well if we can't find 1 more in the next couple weeks prior to the draft, my wife will fill the spot. I really want to avoid that but it might have to happen. She's.....competitive....to say the least. Not a good loser. 8 man league will have the same set up as posted but I'll probably make the benches 4 spots instead of 7. If this is stupid, please say so. In my head, this would stop people from "hoarding" RB2/WR2 types and make for an active waiver wire pretty much from week 4 on as nobody will likely drop their top 4-5 picks and paying attention to bye weeks will be important. Also, for those of you that constantly tinker with your line up after waivers go through on wednesday, staring at the talent pool on the waiver wire will screw with your head all week =).

you're totally right. everybody in theory has a great team the smaller the league. i'd probably make shallower benches to make it really interesting (something like 3-4 max bench spots). we'll figure something fun out. this league is happening.

We got a few weeks to get 3 more. At the very least, we can do an 8 man league with a shallow bench or a survivor weekly league. Wr can do both, too.
