Cheapest Way To Ship A Rod?
I will add, if you have a home improvement store near you (Lowes, Home Depot, Menards), go to their Floor Coverings department and ask for a used carpet tube and they will most likely give you one free of charge. They just throw them out anyway. They are the exact same tubing that TW uses to send their rods. PVC is definitely safer but the cardboard tube is cheaper and is still nearly impossible to bend. Get some pipe insulation and tape it around the rod (will cost maybe 2$ for a package of the stuff) and then just wrap and stuff in the tube /w newspaper and tape the ends. I have zero idea about what factor weighs the most on pricing but for what it's worth, I've sold 3 rods in the past 2 months. I'm located in Iowa and sent 2 rods that were between 7'1 - 7'4 in a cardboard tube to California and Maine. Both cost me 19$ insured and 21$ insured. I just sent a rod to a member here in PVC (I wouldn't have but I stated in the post I would so I felt obligated to and I have leftovers) to Indiana (only 2 states away as opposed to half the country) and it cost me 27$ for the same length as a cardboard tube. Weight may be the deciding factor but length is also part of it.

Cheapest Way To Ship A Rod?
there is no "cheapest". It depends on the length, weight, and where its going. I always use FedEx and my shipping rates vary from 17$ to 27$. Sadly, there is no flat rate to ship a rod. you're going to have to shell out the extra 8$ or whatever you're trying to save. also, i would very much advise adding the extra 2-3$ for insurance.

Ever Get Any Defective Red Eye Shad?
I had defective 1/4oz red eyes and 3 1.5s. Splitting at seams. They told me to send them in and i received 4 of each bait i sent in. Another member here got a TON back from SK as well.

Curado I For The Guys Who Have Them
I've had a tatula longer than an I but have used both extensively. After cleaning out the grease pit curado and flushing the bearings, the reel performs flawlessly. I used the 200 for years (still have 50s) befoe i unloaded a ton of them for daiwas and 50s. The curado I palms better than the E for me. Neither would be my choice for "light baits" but both can cast down to 1/4oz fine and neither is necessarily better than the other. They are two different braking systems and require different uses of thumb but the difference in the bottom spectrum the reels can cast is splitting hairs. Both cast further than you need to. Anyone needing to cast 40 yards isnt doing it out of necessity more so rather doing it because it looks cool bombing a lure. I will say the tatula casts further with less effort. The braking system is simple on both. Tatulas is "less finiky" both both are pretty much set it and forget it if you have any sort of a thumb. Personally, i like very low brakes.

Best Braid?
x2. The only braid i've used that I hated was that tuffline spool that was gave out for 5$ last year. Otherwise I couldn't care as I only use braid for a couple techniques.

Frog Rod Opinions
In that case, when frog fishing, I prefer to be "over gunned" rather then "under gunned" i.e if 70% of my frog fishing is open water, I'm still choosing the "H" rod. Since there is no industry standard in rod powers, it's hard to say weather you want a MH or H being you don't want brand advice

Frog Rod Opinions
Dobyn's 735c will double as a jig rod and it's my favorite frog rod. It's listed as a MH but that's only because dobyn's doesn't group their rods together. It's a MH as far as flipping rods go but as a whole it's every bit a H action rod.

Broke Two Rods While Rolling Up The Car Window.....
Your math isn't in question. It's how you can logically think a rod company should replace a rod for free when he broke it in a car window.... is your favorite color potato?

Broke Two Rods While Rolling Up The Car Window.....
Is this a serious statement? He broke a rod in his car window and paid 1/3 of the price for a brand new one. I can't believe anybody with half a brain would expect loomis to replace a rod under this instance for free..

Zillion Questions
Thinking about picking up a daiwa zillion and have a gew questions. I have a zilion type r handle im putting on it. Will it work with the stock drag star? Is the type r worth the 200 ish $ more than the regular if i already have the type r handle? Can i put an rcs1016 spool in a zillion and will the zillion spool fit in a t3? Does this reel feel better in an NRX than a T31016? I wasnt able to use my 894 but held it for a min before i left town and wasnt sure if i liked the t3 on it.

T3 1016 Clicking On Retrieve.
I would bet your bearing collar is goofed up or broke. Its part 58 and goes inside the bearing below the cast control knob. Had it happen to one of mine when i wasn't careful pushing it out. Its a small plastic collar they will ship you for free.
