  1. St. Croix Legend Xtreme 69mlxf. Best DS rod i've used.
  2. You will be surprised at how snag resistant swinging jig heads really are.
  3. I believe you answered your own question. Both are just as effective as the other in different situations.
  4. Do you bring your purse fishing? Nancy.
  5. I will never understand the draw to ice fishing. People walking out below lock and dams over 40 feet of water. You go through..there's no coming back from that. The hole hoping panfish junkies just have a screw loose. I'm understandably the minority when it comes to ice fishing(especially in my area where ice fishing is ridiculously popular and it gets even worse then further north you go) but I just cannot understand the draw to it. Also, being cold sucks.
  6. When there's ice on the water, you have winter. If you don't have an ice over in your area, you don't have a winter. you get a very long late fall and early spring. Be happy you get to fish year round. You southerners crying that 50 degrees is cold makes me sick! You don't know cold until you've broke an ice scraper on your windshield in -20 below temps before the windchill.
  7. This or a 7' MF lightning rod sub 40$ and will shallow crank just fine.
  8. Local DSG has 3 in stock. Just felt heavy and clunky
  9. Home Depot, menards, lowes just go adk the floor coverings dept and they will mostblikely give you one for free
  10. Its shaping up to that. Garbage time td Haha scratch that...another pick.
  11. Ravens/Steelers are not letting me down tonight.
  12. Thats a great rod if you can get it under 200$.
  13. It would be easier to list the baits we don't have
  14. No you don't need a receipt. Its a very simple and fast process. Send in the rod, they send you another. If sensitivity is of the utmost importance and you have the budget you want to stay at (sub200$), i would look very hard at the kistler KLX.
  15. Nrx 893/894 Just received my nrx894 a week ago. Best jig rod i've ever used.
  16. The exchange doesn't include shipping. Add 20$ for shipping. The Savvy isn't a very sensitive rod. i do love the few savvys i do own but they are dedicated to moving baits. I use the DX for bottom contact baits. If you're staying in savvy series, go /w the 735.
  17. Fixed that for ya
  18. I think I get what you're asking..when not trying the double, I go through the bottom loop first and then through the top.
  19. I go through the eye twice, wrap the knot 3-4 times /w the double strands of line together, go through the top loop, wet knot, pull tight slowly, and cut the 3 tag ends. I believe this is called the "double san diego jam" or "grigsby knot". Best fluoro knot I've used. The only time I go through the eye once, wrap the knot up, come back through the bottom and through the top is /w mono.
  20. Somebody was giving out too much "advice"
  21. The tatula and curado I will both cast 1/4oz baits but won't necessarily cast them "well" if you don't have the correct rod for throwing 1/4oz kvd 1.0s. Save yourself the headache of toying with rods and just get the chronarch 50e. It will throw all the baits you are wanting to on most rods /w no issues at all and will cast them with ease.
  22. I wouldn't really say the Niners did well more so rather that Dallas was as awful as awful can be.
