  1. Yeah those are the ones I don't know much on seen on bass master articles and haven't used. They use spoons like that for kings and replace the treble for a single hook. The ones made for redfish have a single hook built to the spoon those suckers are hard to hang up.
  2. Aqua dream....there are different kinds of spoons. The ones I seen and used for inshore aren't the same as the spoons that are used for bass. The bass ones seem heavier, different shape and have trebles typically but havent really seen many speciffically for bass...The aqua dream and bomber are weedless and fished in grass and they even have small size for pin fish. The gold spoons I typically fish are Johnson or gator spoon with a little curltail grub. Some come with a swivel or eye ring and swivel. Straight retrieve most times, figure out the pace. Or lift and lower sometimes a sweep. C A Richardson has some good vids on spoons, I recall one video using spoons in La.

  10. I have used Trilene, big game, stren and I like sufix siege and elite the best in my opinion it has less memory than stren and big game but gives you the abrasion resistance that stren and Trilene lack but would equal it to stren megathin which is hard to find in stores. Like they said subtle differences
  11. Main reason I hang here more than there is this joint has a mobile version. Haven't found that feature over there.
  12. I have 3 pfluegers My president 20 is on a 5'-6" zebco my son uses. My Templar 35 is on a 6'-6" M/F ugly stick that I throw mainly pop-rs or jerk baits My President XT is on a 6'-6" MH/F BPS Carbonlite throw weightless or light Texas rigs, lipless cranks.
  13. Ok gents little advice here. So we know the chill is coming, in the north (de Norte for you miami folks ) 55/39 is approx the slash for 5 days. Then gets a bit warmer monday and a front comes through Tuesday with rain. When would they be most active in your opinion? Third day of consistent weather? The warm day before the front or when the front comes through? Just want some ideas as my time is limited so I want to line up the best day. I use this to get an idea too http://www.solunarforecast.com/solunarforecast.aspx Last winter when weather like this hit, I had ok luck with small slow plastic worms or ribbon tails/lizards This year we will see if they get jiggy in the cold.
  14. Amen Toho....I might be able to do that. Put the old lady and kids with the mouse lol. You, Martin and Lou go let me know I will atleast make it over to shake hands. There a general florida place like this to post? You will see my next post what I am asking.
  15. A few local spots wouldn't hurt. But wherever you go you and your son have gotten many a nice fish from there.
  16. The Brighton is that right across from derby lane? Also if you look a few streets to the west and north of the 22/43 spot there is lake leslee(right off lake leslee drive coincidentally)
  17. Third time is a charm, I was up 2-0 boys but we evened the score lol. Congrats man.
  18. Cool I was hoping it was recent. I picked my up for 99 from cabelas in June and due to the purchase agreement had to wait til Christmas to use it. It is a sweet reel. Thanks for the info
  19. See what a few years of racing and development in F1 does for a car company's road cars......paddle shifters!
  20. Nothing new here, the Japanese have been in the scotch and bourbon game for a while now. They love what we got, Nikes, whiskey, bass fishin lol Hey maybe it will be like their fishing gear they put a lifetime warranty on even the cheap stuff but then again the cheap stuff won't be so cheap if the quality improves.
  21. WHAAAAAT! When did this happen? I just got one and would love to get a second. I am going to have to check out my dicks and see if there are any left.
  22. Went out today 7:20-8 am and got a couple on the rattlesnake with 1/16 weight. Throwing it on the caster, was a challenge at first. Added more brake casted like a girl, went back to one brake added more thumb casted little less than with my heavier stuff but that could be it is under my rods sweet spot. Getting this caster thing down Lou, and prefer over my poor neglected spinner. One thing I still am getting used to is setting the hook with the reel in hand versus how u do on a spinning setup.
  23. Wow! Great score coots. I just got a 7:1 reel, I like it for spinner baits and buzzbaits. Also can really burn a lipless back or a couple fast cranks then kill it.
