  1. I fish solo 99% of the time. Much more relaxing, no one's junk all over my boat, can fish spots I want without having to be nice and go to someone elses spots.... I fish to relax and unwind so Solo is the best way to go.
  2. Those are some nice fish. Is Hazel Creek lake near Kirksville MO? Did not know there were Muskie in thaat lake.
  3. Made back from Rainy Lake, Ontario. Caught a lot of Smallmouth, nothing huge, 3lb 15oz was the biggest that Pulled on my line. Was a great trip.
  4. Hope you guys have a great weekend at Melvern. Wish I could have joined you, but I already had reservation at a fishing camp on Rainy Lake in Ontario, Canada. All packed up, Boat hooked up, alarm set for 3:00 AM, be on the road by 4:00 AM and in Fort Frances Ontario around 5:00 PM. Hotel in town then 26 mile boat ride to camp early Sunday AM. Smallmouth beware !!!
  5. Went to Rainy Lake with a friend who needed a boater to go. This was 20 years ago and I still make the 750 mile trek every June. Leaving Saturday
  6. Might have to stop by some evening and check it out. Wonder if everybody shows up paired or are there Non boaters looking for a ride? I assume the fish are brought in and it is not a paper tourney.
  7. Anybody know what the entry fee for the WYCO Wednesday Tournament? What are the hours?
  8. OH forgot to mention that June 10 won't work for me, I will be on Rainy Lake in Ontario Canada from June 9 through June 16.
  9. Haven't posted here much, but have been looking. I would be interested in getting in a paper tournament. I used to do that with a group of guys who posted on Daves Country, it was a lot of fun and plenty of BS at the end. I haven't got a regular fishing partner any more so meeting some one to fish with could be a plus. I fish WYCO quite a bit, Clinton and Perry (espically when the crappie bite is on).
  10. B=Break O=out A=Another T=Thousand Boats are expensive toys, even if nothing is wrong you will want some new rigging or fishing equipment all the time.
  11. Straight back to the shop, sounds like they messed something up.
  12. I have a 2000 Johnson 115hp that takes a while to start first time for the day. After that touch key and Varooooom. Had an 1989 Evinrude was the same way. Just figured that the OMC's were cold natured.
  13. Finally got them installed on my Trailer, Not sure i like them very well. When relaoding boat on trailer the boat slides back if you don't leave in gear and fast idle while hooking the bow strap. I fish solo most of the time and this is a PIA to hook up then go back and shut down motor. Also have some bowing in the boards and boat rest on three points rather than entire bunk board. I would not buy them again.
  14. Wow, really good evening at Wyco, Sounds like I need to get out there more. And I can since I retired from working today !
  15. I also live in KCK near Wahington High School. Been fishing for years but not the best angler by far. Leavenworth County is a nice lake, I'll go back there soon as it fills up again. Wyco has a group that has a evening tournament once a week. Never joined but thinking about it. Perry is a good bass lake but don't get there much. Kinda expensive to go there frequently alone. I will be retiring in a couple weeks and hope to spend more time on the water. Don't really have any fishing partners, go alone mostly. Maybe we should meet up and see about fishing together some time.
  16. Got a pair in my garage right now. Have not gotten them installed yet. I always get in water before unhooking from trailer and hook back before pulling out. Hope they are as advertised.
  17. Just signed on after noticing several post about Wyandotte County lake. I fish there quite a bit.
