  1. No doubt Pats won that one, but Giants gave it all they had and the game came really close! It was a great game!
  2. here's my dog who passed away at the beginning of '07 (this year), she was 7 years old...R.I.P "little bit": Here's my dad's yellow beagle "Buck": and my mom's Yorkshire Terrier "Lacy":
  3. I use the same as Links_man2, but instead I put the hook point through the middle of the lure and then turn it around and bury the point into the worm, just like texas rig. It is fairly weedless and it can still catch fish! 8-) just like this:
  4. have had that happen a few times : TNP: have you ever had your battery spark in the bed of your truck and melt the negative and positive terminals?
  5. Bass normally go deeper in the winter, but if there's only shallow water they will be EXTREMELY lethargic (meaning they won't bite or move much). Right now I think the best bet would be to wait until spring/summer before fishing your creek. But you can fish slowly using jigs, worms or other small lures. My pond is 6' at max, but fish survive. For me personally I stay at home, but I have caught bass off of a 1/4 ounce or 1/8 ounce jig. The key for winter is small lures and slow presentations! Good luck! 8-)
  6. No, I've learned by past mistakes to control the boat myself : ;D TNP: Have you ever accidently sat on a lure with trebel hooks?
  7. hard to judge, but I'd say 7-8 pounds
  8. Hey all, I just made an order to Lurecraft.com for a frog mold and some other molds (senko and finesse types) and I was wondering, what effective combinations could I make? The lure color choices I have is: -Black -Earthworm -Charteruse -Root beer -Watermelon green -Crawfish and the glitter: -Red -Black -Green -Silver -Charteruse -Orange -Purple What color combos would look BEST in a frog? Thanks for any suggestions!
  9. You can get the molds to pour your own frogs at lurecraft.com. They supply the molds, plastic and other supplies! I just made an order for a frog mold, a 5" Senko type mold and a 5" finesse worm type mold for $36 (that's including tax and shipping, handling). The molds run from $8-12. I get all my plastic and supplies from barlows and I get my molds from lure craft.
  10. Welcome to the board! Can't wait to hear some of your fishing stories and see some good pictures! Hope you enjoy the site!!!
  11. 1.) Shimano Curado 2.) Quantums
  12. no TNP: Have you ever dreamed about something (anything) and then the next day have it come true?
  13. I know here for Orange we've been having some nice warm days and some cool days as well. It got up to 55 yesterday. Normally for Va, the coldness really comes January-March...
  14. Can't wait for the fights! It's a toss of the coins as to who will win for each. They are all great fighters! I will have to go with IceMan Liddell & Hughes. But we will see!
  15. Darn good thing he didn't loose his hand! Lol! Dumb Bass
  16. I would say deal! If it was up to me I would jump on it! I got my 12' v hull jon boat for $375 w/o a trailer, so if I were you I'd say deal!
  17. I use ZOOM finesse worms when using the Wacky rig, I use robo-worms when drop shotting or Split shotting. On a jig I usually use my homemade jig trailer, and shakey head I use zoom finesse worms, robo worms, culprit finesse worms or even cigar baits.
  18. nope : Have you ever accidently hit your partner with the rod tip or lure when casting?
  19. I will give you some tips (I bowhunt, been bowhunting since I was 13; so 5 years). 1.) DO NOT use the Whisker-Biscuit arrow rest! It tears up the fletchings on your arrows far too easy! I would recommend either a drop away rest or V-rest (which is what I am using). here's the home site so you can get all your accessories to fit.. http://www.bowtechproshop.com/archery_accessories.html Another great tip is practice!!! If you practice enough you will get good, and if you consider hunting with it, do not let your adrenaline get the best of you lol! Calm down and concentrate You can get a good target at cabelas. I would start off with a block target and then progress to a 3-D deer target if you want. For pins, I would start off 10, 15 and 20 yards for right now (I did) and then when you get confident enough then have a pin for 10, 15 and 25 yards (I do). Also once you get confident enough at practicing on the ground, start shooting up in a treestand or in a high location looking down at the target. This will simulate the scenario of hunting and will improve your shooting from that scenario and you will be ready when real hunting opportunities come about. I wish you luck and if you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to PM me!
  20. Nope, I rarely get bothered while fishing Have you ever tied an expensive lure on, only to have it fly off on the cast? (bad knot)
  21. 23. Yep...I do sometimes... :-X Have you ever cursed loud enough that other people on the lake heard you when you miss a fish or had a fish break off?
