total eclipse tonight
Same here in Orange....I hope it clears out before then... If anyone wants to learn more about astronomy and if yall want a great computer program that provides excellent detail of the night sky and the future events (solar/lunar eclipses, comets, etc.) Starry Night Backyard is an excellent program! I just ordered it a week ago and it came in today. I downloaded it onto my computer and it is awesome. I had experience with it in Astronomy Class in highschool and I really wanted to get it because you can learn so much from it and it shows excellent detail, and even information about outerspace. For those who are interested here's the program I ordered: Starry Night Backyard Complete Space and Astronomy Pack 6.2 At $50 it's not too bad. I learned a lot from it and I use it to help map out the sky so I can find planets easier with my telescope!

I'm on BassFeed!!
Excellent news! Ironically just a few weeks ago, my teacher and bass fishing club leader told me that my picture was in the Jr. Bassmaster's magazine in the January edition (I believe it was). My picture was there, but the story was about my club and an interview with the president (and my best friend), Randy Beasley. But that's excellent news!

To All of the Cranky Old Dudes:
"Movies" don't count bud... Ouch x2 to that! Looks to me like everyone is having a blast! Even though we may be "Drastic Little Punks" to some elders on the forum, we youngins are going to make the future better Everyone has their days. Back yonder, the elders made their future when they were "Little Punks", and don't say none of you ever were punks, because I am sure a few of you were! But now it's the youngin's turn in the 21st century! Lest you forget, young'uns. It will be your turn when your Elders decide that you are mature enough to let you have your turn. It's always been that way. It always will. One day you young'uns will surely rule the world, but not today. Eat your hearts out. I believe it's a little too late for that LM. We are pretty much running the world now. I don't see or hear about any elders comming up with new inventions or new technologies. With all the high tech stuff I see and hear comming out, the inventors and those responsible for doing so are between the ages of 21 and 40. And some even below 21. Face it, with the new world as it is today, it's hard for the elders to keep up with us youngins.

What is....?
Here's some good questions that will boggle your brain... > If Johnny cracked corn and nobody cared, then why is there a song about him? > Why do you have to "put your two cents in".. . but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to? >Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him for a car ride; he sticks his head out the window?

nice 'un today
Congrats! It was 60 something today which is unusual for us in Feb. But it rained all day and I didn't feel like hitting the pond. If tomorrow will be warm too, then I will be sure to catch my second bass of the year!

Baits for March
I will probably work more around jigs, texas rigged plastics, shad series rattle-trap and probably throw a few wacky plastics.
-
YUM big show craw new bait!!!
IMO they look good to use as a jig trailer. Slide the tail end of the craw onto the hook and have it to where the claws and head stick up like a crawfish in defense mode. I think that would work great!

What does <3 mean? I've seen it posted a lot on my space and other websites....

Need a good jig and trailer
Just remember that since the water temp is slightly cold, the fish will more than likely hit a small lure. I would go with either a 1/8 or a 1/4 ounce jig. The colors I would choose to be somewhere close to natural crayfish colors (Red/Black, Red/Orange/Black, etc.) and the trailer I would use either the tail end of a Hula Grub or any plastic that resembles the front portion of a crawfish. For example: Craw Chunks , Poor Boys Bait's Craw Daddy . I personally stick with my own home made jig trailer 3.5" craw-tails. I got the mold and plastic from Barlow's Tackle. here's one on my favorite jig...

favorite suds
Well being that I am underage, I would go with Dean, with the Root Beer. But once I hit 21, my favorite alcoholic beverage will probably be Bud Light.
