I've read and seen many teenagers looking for bass clubs in the Orange, Madison, Culpepper, Charlottesville area in Virginia. Kids or teens 11-18 years of age are able to participate in my school's angler program. Monthly and sometimes weekly we have tons of tournaments and even hold State tournaments to determine who will be at the top. For those who are interested in joining an angling program or club, contact Mrs. Gore in the website in my profile. We are more than happy if anyone is willing to join the club and be apart of the angler's program. Check the site out and decide if you want to join. There are two age brackets: 11-14 is Jr Varsity and 15-18 in Varsity. For every tournament members from each bracket is recognized and the winners will be rewarded ribbons. We are a proud club of the B.A.S.S Federation, and we do tons of things including Sport Shows, Fund Raisers, statewide trips and tons of neat things! There were three bucks in the woods. There was the Alpha buck who was the dominant 16 pointer of his territory, he had plenty of battle scars and stories to tell of his victories. Beside him was the Mega Buck who was a decent 9 pointer, he too had battle scars but not as many as the alpha and he had a few stories of success to tell, he unfortunatley was the better looking buck of them. Then there was an immature, peace loving button buck, who was skittish and never got into a fight in his life! One day the three bucks were trotting down their trail over looking a meadow where a bunch of does were grazing. It was in the rut and their hormones was on the brink! The alpha buck turned and looked at the other bucks and chuckled "Man, I tell you guys, it is great that I am the alpha buck, I can go down to that meadow and I can gurantee you EVERY doe would want me!" the mega buck kind of sniffled his laugh and said "Yeah, you get all the big, old does, and I get all the pretty, healthy, young does! Who, with one look will come running to me!" the alpha buck and the mega buck just laughed and joked around with the other when the button buck held his head low and went and laid down by a pine tree. The other two bucks felt horrible and asked the button head, "What's wrong?", the button buck just looked up with a big frown and said "I wish I was as big and muscular as you guys, I never get the chance to have any does like me, they always laugh at me or chace me off..." the button buck then added "I tell you what I'll do! The next buck that shows up, I will stand up and challenge him! Yeah, yeah! Then all the does will like me!!" The button head then got cheery and stood up with pride. The Alpha buck and the Mega buck both just mocked him and laughed at him. Then all of a sudden a monsterous buck showed up! He was easily 300 pounds, his racks were like swords, and his muscular body would make a body builder look small. The buck came walking through with heavy foot steps and it made the alpha buck look like a whimpy spike! All of a sudden the button buck rushed over to a bush and started kicking and thrashing his head into it, as well as stomping on the ground and kicking up dirt! The other two bucks instantly had sympathy for the buck and acknowledged the button bucks bravery, but too much was too much! They didn't want to see the button buck die! So they yelled out, "Don't! It's not worth it! In a few years you will have a great set of horns and we will help you get stronger, and have a better chance at those does!" the button head instantly stopped and turned toward the other two bucks and hollared with despiration! "I don't want to fight HIM, he'll murder me!!! I just want to make sure he knows that I am a BUCK!!!" ;D ;D ;D ;D

UFC is more real than boxing... In boxing they have boxing gloves, etc. in UFC is hand to hand, foot to foot combat...nothing else other than a pair of shorts, shoes and a mouth piece. If they do wear gloves they are normal fingerless gloves (grip gloves if you will, for grappling) UFC is more interesting than boxing in MO, UFC is a mix martial art fighting match other than strike only like boxing. At least in UFC they have famous wrestling styles such as Judo, quick striking styles such as Kung Fu and Tae Kwon Do and finally reflexive and extensive styles that let you reach out to attack while guarding your body such as Kick Boxing. Judo is more interesting than all! Over powering someone and then making them either tap out or pass out to a submission move. I like the Guillotine Choke and/or the Triangle Choke. I'd rather see someone tap out then get knocked out, unless the knock out is an extremely agile and powerful strike such as a flying knee or spinning wheel kick!

absolutely, we aren't the only one's contributing gases into the atmosphere, volcanoes, natural gas springs, etc. are all releasing carbon dioxide, methane and other gases into our atmosphere. We are contributing a major part of the release of these green house gases, however. And no doubt before man industrialized the earth natural sources were polluting the earth, but what I was saying was the atmosphere was much cleaner then, compared to now with humans. That was another point before when I mentioned Venus. Of course there are no man made structures on the planet to release these gases, so therefore natural springs and volcanoes are producing these gases and therefore made the atmosphere of the planet unstable and unhospitable for humans. There is no other planet in our galaxy (Milky Way) which a man may one day invade. The only planet that is close would be Mars, but still life there would be a challenge. Mercury and Venus are all to close to the sun and they have extreme temperatures. Jupiter is so enormous and has high density radiational atmosphere, Saturn has record high speed winds averaging up to 1000 miles an hour. Uranus and Neptune are too far away from the sun to regain warmth, and their atmosphere is ice-like clouds. And of course there is no such thing as Pluto anymore, because some BONE HEAD took it off the stellar map and replaced it as an asteroid, which is apart of the outer asteroid belt of our solar system. But even still pluto had no atmosphere and of course the temperatures were extremely COLD on that "planet". (you are all aware of this probably) Scientists are looking at the different moons of Jupiter, and Saturn. The one they hit was Jupiter's Ice moon "Europa". According to satellite photographs, Europa has a frozen ocean surface which has a ocean underneath. They say life forms are able to adapt and live in these freezing cold waters under miles of ice, so they are going to invent a drill and send it on a probe to Europa and drill down to the 'ocean' and see if any life forms exist. (this is for other life forms however...not for hospitality for humans) I remember seeing something about Saturn's moon 'Titan' and that it is similar to the atmosphere of Earth in a sense that it has all the gases similar. Maybe one day we will be able to live close to Saturn and see it's georgeous rings up close in person! As always, that is in the distant future. We just hope that Earth's atmosphere will withstand it's so called 'punishment' long enough for us to make that discovery and voyage. I bid you all good night! 8-) God bless

Global Warming is surely in effect! Here it is January and we are getting highs in the upper 60s!! Usually it is in the 20s and 30s... Like themuddyman said, individually we have no control over the environment. WE as a nation must come together and reduce pollution and carbon dioxide distribution. One day I see this planet ending up like Venus. The atmostphere on Venus is like a giant hot-house. Full of nothing but Carbon Dioxide and the temperatures are easily like an oven. Reaching up to 800-1000 degrees! It is funny, Venus is extremely HOT and mars is basically dead! Mars' thin atmostphere cannot contain much carbon dioxide to warm up the planet. My guess is that we will find a way to reach either the Andromeda Galaxy or other nearby galaxies and find a planet hospitable for humans. That would be an alternative. The way I see it there are two choices... 1.) Find a new planet to colonize or 2.) REDUCE pollution and carbon dioxide distribution to save our planet's atmosphere. No matter what we choose, I will still do the things I do today, because I know individually I cannot change the world for everyone! If this nation (USA) and the whole world comes to an agreement to reduce pollution and carbon dioxide to save the planet, of course I will tag along and help. Other than that, it is not my task to perform. I will try as I may to have a good life and live as long as I can. If one day the planet gives in and balances itself and I ended up perishing, all I can say is that is the way the lord intended it and indeed I have no MAJOR role in the planet's balancing, it is all natural. Before humans populated the earth and started using engines and equipment which put off all the carbon dioxide, the oxygen and atmosphere of this earth was clean, rich and pure. But now...it is smoggy, dirty and poor. And what doesn't help is industrilization. Clearing forests to build homes, trees take in the carbon dioxide and release oxygen (which everyone knows that), we are loosing our forest population due to money gain and over population. In my opinion this country's law should be like that of China's: Have a child to replace each of the parents and no more! Two kids, that's it! If we could do that, this planet would not be overpopulated and we could easily manage the forest population and the trees themselves will clean this planet with our help! Global Warming is a fact! Indeed! The Divas certainly make WWE interesting! Especially the Bra and Pannies match! Whoo whoo! It's kind of like Ric Flair's WOOO! but instead... WOOOOOOOOOT! ;D I am still bummed that Trish Stratus quit...man she was hot! Canadian but HOT! Man even to this day I dream of being a WWE wrestler! Walking out on stage with millions of people calling my name, and jamming to my entrance song, and perform like ever before! Unfortunatley as tall and skinny as I am, WWE stars like Umaga and The Undertaker would easily put me out lol! besides the youngest wwe superstar is Randy Orton, he's 20...that's 2.5 years older than me and yet he's 200 pounds and full of muscle. Me, I am just a scrawny kid, 5'11 weighing 135 pounds lol! I am perfect for high school wrestling, but not for WWE. We've got a weight bench and I've been working on it! Maybe one day I will fulfil my dream, then again I may find a job doing something else. Like agriculture wise such as being a shrimp farmer, or Wildlife Biologist. Did you not see the Acronym I made? I wasn't saying it was literally FAKE, I was using it as an acronym... Of course I don't see wrestling being 100% fake, there are a few things that question weither it is really a 100% hit though... The punches unfortunately are thought out and are basically light jabs, the chair shots are 75% of the time blocked (never a full head shot), and it seems like the ring bounces like a trampoline... Now there's many things that are real... 1.) You can't fake falling off the Hell In the Cell cage mage that Mic Foley took! Nor jumping off the turnbuckle/cage/etc. 2.) You certainly can't fake the moves, slamming a person down, gravity takes over, there's no holding back 3.) Some of the shots are real, like bassdocktor said with the ladder that actually cause damage 4.) and certainly there's always a risk of breaking a body part. I remember when my Fav. wrestler Chris Benoit broke his neck. Or when Batista dis-located his shoulder, etc. I tell ya there are many people buying tickets! ECW is a brand of the WWE where all is legal, chair shots, tables, ladders, etc. The WWE have the PPV events which host the extreme rules theme, but ECW has a match like that EVERY TUESDAY NIGHT! Boxing and UFC are 100% real, these men are truly trained martial artists and there is no holding back with them, WWE however has some not all hold backs but it still don't keep me from watching it lol! ;D I am not taking your response personally Deuceu, nor should you take mine; but I used F-A-K-E as an acronym. I like the WWE, even though it's fake. Like the others say it is not real but it is better than nothing else on. I look forward to UFC just like tipptruck said. As far as real life wrestling such as Judo and school wrestling I enjoy watching those. I just like watching guys on WWE like Rey Mysterio and many of the cruiserweights who are very athletic and quick. I also like the power guys such as Hulk Hogan, Batista, HHH, The Rock, etc. on how HUGE they are! I mean they could lift me with one finger lol! (I am only 135 pounds...) With the power moves they do, they could easily break me in half lol!!! ;D I would like to meet one of the stars and maybe get in the ring once, but as far as real life and actually hurting someone, WWE is F-A-K-E! For A Kid's Entertainment ;D

On a same level as Craw was saying I would say ANY plastic lure. What I think would work best would be a wacky rigged YUM Dinger or Senko. Experiment a little by throwing different lures and trying different colors, eventually you will have the right combination to cause the bass to strike. Another thing is, keep this in mind... IF YOU CAN SEE HIM, HE CAN SEE YOU! Bass are easily spooked, some may say ponds are an exception because the pond gets pressure and bass are used to seeing humans, but if you were a bass and you seen a human with a rod and reel, would you like to get caught? lol! Just my $0.02 Good luck!

Thanks! Lol, jig skirts and spinner-bait skirts are all the same! 8-) I now blue/black is a common color but different colored skirts are better for different situations. Such as on a clear lake, natural colors work best such as the crawdad colors, fish immitation colors, etc. On murky situations bright colors such as red, chartruse, white and green work well. For deep water situations I normally go with either tint colored lures (pretty dark but not black) or brighter natural. You can use dark colors in any situation which is why blue/black is the most commonly used. I perfer PB&J personally, either that or I will use crawdad or fish immitations. I will be making more skirt combos, but I ran out of jig heads to attach them on. These jigs are the 3/8 oz size jigs, I have the same exact combos on both my 1/4 oz and 3/8 oz, which is why I didn't post the 1/4 oz ones. I will be looking forward to more skirt combination ideas! I've had a trajedy before...it was after New Years eve of the year 2001 (matter of fact a few days after) my Grandma was heading home with my Aunt Pat (Mom's sister; grandma's daughter...you get the picture) anyway, they had come over to our house for the New Years and we celebrated. On their way back to Georgia (where they lived) my grandma suffered a heart attack not an hour after they left! :'( :-/ They instantly brought grandma to the hospital and she died that night. Once the news hit me I was devistated! It's been 6 years now and I can still remember staying up with grandma to watch the New Year... :'( For those who have had trajedies happen on certain holidays; just like Aaron had stated always be thankful on Christmas, and instead of looking on a certain holiday as a gruesome reminder of the past, look at the holiday as a reminder of the beloved memory of that person(s) and the great times you had with them. Even though it's been 6 years, I still feel upset over the loss, but then when I step back and realize that the Grandma is with jesus and god, it brings a smile upon my heart to know that she is being taken care of and that she, jesus and god are looking upon me and watching everything I do; good or bad. They are always guiding me to what's right and they always are there when I am alone. Folks, enjoy your Christmas and Happy New Year! I've found my package, apparently the packaged was delivered on the 12th of Dec. and it was delivered to my sister in laws house which they live maybe 200 yards away (we own a family subdivision; 20 acres subdivided) and never told me about it! It's been sitting up at their house since the 12th and I been waiting patiently and even complaining to the lure company over it! Now that I know where the package WAS (I got it now) I sent an apology email to the company and mom certainly gave my sis in law a lip... Anyway...I was messing around with my kit today, I made 15 skirt combinations and made 30 jigs all together. (2 jigs per combo; I made one combo for my 1/4 oz jig and my 3/8 oz jig) Worked on them from 3:00pm until just now (9:50pm) I have a headache from it!! Lol! Anyway, some combos I made three-somes such as rainbow trout (Chartruse, Orange and Green), some whacky three-somes such as blue, green and yellow and some others. My favorites are the crawdad (black/red), PB&J, and even my school color jig! Blue and Orange lol!! ;D I will post pictures of my jig colors to get some feed back and even some suggestions on which other colors I should try! Will post pictures tomorrow morning!! I couldn't find the right combo I was looking for (Shimano rod, reel) so we asked the clerk there, and he showed us that one and mom bought it lol! Ok...the weather tomorrow is going to be nice! It was nice today and I read it is going to be nice all weekend and almost all next week! I know it is winter time and I am sure the bass are DEEP! I have a local lake (Lake Orange) that I love to fish. However I never fished it during the winter time, only the summer and fall. I have a topography map of the lake which shows different depths ranging from 4 foot (shallowest) to 36 foot (dam; deepest). What I want to know is what to look for (depth, structure, etc.) and what to use... I know during the winter the bass' metabolism is rather slow and therefore they get lock-jawed. I know I should use a worm or jig, but what colors? what techniques? Texas-Rigged? Wacky-Rigged? Drop-shotting? Carolina Rigged? Here's the topography of the map... http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/fishing/waterbodies/display.asp?id=98&section=maps The little cove past the boat ramp on the right has sunken timber that reaches out above the surface but yet it is 10-20 feet deep (going near the dam). Would that be a hotspot? or should I throw what I can on the dam? The yellow dots are structures (boeys marking them) should I concentrate on them? or the deep spots? Very nice Allen! Very nice!!! My skirts are just the plain colored. They don't have the multi colored ones like your spinnerbait. The place I got the skirts, etc. only have the plain colored, but I ordered the kit with 11 assorted colores (I listed them). I got the kit at Lurecomponents.com, I ordered -20 1/4 ounce bass jigheads (with the weedguards) -20 3/8 ounce bass jigheads (with the weedguards) -25 snap on jig rattlers -The Skirt Factory (which has then 11 colors, the pliers, bands, etc.) and I think that's about it...the total was like $65.... Yeah I forgot to list many combinations...such as: - Green Pumpking (thanks for that GMAN) - Rainbow Trout - Yellow Perch - Grey/Chartruse - Shad or silver minnow (Grey/White) Of course I will have some plain colored jigs: Black, White, etc. I just needed some combinations that are effective.
