  1. Groomed snow catch a world record largemouth bass or a world record catfish?
  2. oh...well see I learn something new everyday ;D ;D 8-)
  3. Hook Set: The act of sharply pulling back the rod and having the hook of the lure sink into your partner's skin behind you where it is "Set" in place and cannot be removed without painful retrieve. ;D Skitter Pop: (1) A lure designed to where you catch a big fish you hear a 'pop' of the line snapping. (2.) A lure designed to where with a jerk of the rod a popping noise is heard to attract bass. Spinner-bait: A bait or lure that spins... :
  4. It's cool looking. It is only a color converted personal picture, nothing spooky. ;D It looks cool Burley 8-)
  5. Yeah, I've seen that in a fish tank in the Fredericksburg bass fishing show. The guy had a minnow on a hook and the bass took the minnow and he set the hook on the bass and started to reel it in, the bass got off with the minnow still in it's mouth, it swam to the bottom and regurgitated the minnow, the minnow was still alive, but it was later eaten by the other bass in the tank lol! ;D I can't remember what kind of fish it was that was in the other bass' mouth that I caught. It might have been a small perch or minnow, because I don't think bass will eat their young will they? I don't think they are cannibals
  6. Never kissed a fish and never will! ;D I will give them a nice "you are one pretty fish" and then release them. Now if I caught a huge bass (5 pounds plus) then I might consider kissing them. Other than that, no way man! lol! ;D
  7. I once caught a bass in the back rivers of the potomac (which were about 1-2' deep max) and when I brought it up it had my jerk bait in it's mouth along with a small 2" baby bass. I caught two bass with one lure lol! It was neat, I released it though, nobody had a camera to take a picture. It was fun though!
  8. Name: John Randall Jones Occupation: High School Student/Treasurer of the OCHS Jr. Angler Program Reside: Orange County, Virginia Other info: Currently a Senior, I enjoy bass fishing, catfishing, hunting, vegetable gardening, building (woodwork), outdoors, and video games ;D What else? ummm....enjoy Heavy Metal music as well as Rock and roll, 90s, and country. I am a big science fan, I enjoy disections and handling small animals, and learning about science. I am also fascinated by astronomy and looking for the planets in my telescope, and I enjoy the wilderness so much that I will literally go into the middle of my woods, and build a small structure home and basically spend hours enjoying nature. ;D I also like to draw, sometimes paint and ride 4-wheelers, as well as getting a little dirty (no mud bogging! I don't want to ruin my brand new truck! ;D ;D)
  9. For who would I rather fish with? Avid (no offense Muddy ) Booyah spinnerbaits, Terminator spinnerbaits, or strike king spinnerbaits?
  10. I hear both of ya lol! I am surely taking my time lol! Unless I find a girl who loves to fish/hunt, etc. God bless 8-)
  11. East Coast (from satellite view right coast)... Billy Bob Thorton, Jim Carrey or Larry the Cable guy? (favorite actor/comedian, etc.)
  12. I always heard "The wind is your friend". It makes it hard to fish plastic (especially if you are weightless rigging a plastic worm/senko/etc.) Normally when the wind picks up I switch to hard-baits like spinner-baits, buzz-baits, etc. in the summer. For the winter I switch to 1/4-5/8 ounce jigs, and like you would in the winter, fish S-L-O-W. For summer I always use a buzz-bait or topwater, because the wind will blow the water and cause it to be choppy and therefore an outline on the surface will be distorted and noise is really effective. Another thing for the wind as far as locating the bass. Find a spot or section of the lake where the wind is blowing against the bank or structure. This will push baitfish towards the bank/structure, etc. and therefore attracts bass. Just a little hint Good luck! 8-)
  13. I'd be proud too! I wish I had a father like you who always liked to go fishing...I am the only one in the family (besides my mother every now and then) who likes bass fishing...My father likes catfishing the lazy man way. (Casting a sinker/hook with bait and lean the rod against the boat and when the pole bends he fights the fish)

  22. Same story here...my sister bough a shock collar for her dog and she put it on the dog and shocked her when she got by the trash can (trying to eat trash) and it didn't work! So my sister took it off and gave it to her husband and tried to shock him, didn't work. So then the husband come out with the brilliant idea; "Maybe the voltage isn't set high enough" my sister turned it up three cranks and shocked him. A little zip but really not much to hurt, and my sis's husband said "Turn it up all the way and lets see if that will work, as far as I know this shock collar is weak". You should have seen the look of my brother in laws face when she cranked it up to max and hit the button! LOL! ;D ;D ;D He yelped like a dog himself, threw it on the ground screaming "That's cruel! That's cruel!" ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D :P :P
