Yeah really, Muddyman we were just having fun! Don't retire them, they are your personality, always cheery and green ;D ;D ;D Just because we use your green buddies doesn't mean we are meaning to make you retire them. We are just having fun! Bring your green buddies back and let's have a great day! 8-)
  2. Classic! FLW is our enemies at B.A.S.S > FLW or BASS?
  3. Just so everyone knows, we contacted the VDGIF and asked them the proper amount of certain fish to put in. They told us the proper numbers for bass, catfish, crappie, and bluegill. So we stocked that number. When we stocked it the guy who brought the fish (from the fish farm) told us what all we needed (fertilizer, check the pH, etc.) and he also told us to put some structure in the pond, which I am working on now, the Winter months can be a pain in the rear!!! We WILL go out this spring and catch and eat some crappie. As I said before, my folks put the crappie and bluegill in there, while they are big, so we can have something to catch during the spring and summer until we wait on the bass to grow. We only put in 75 large crappie, but we put in like 700 bass, 200 redear bluegill (which are small 2-4") and I think like 150 hybrid bluegill (that don't breed) which are adult size. From what I understand, this fall and winter we've had a few fatalities as far as fish goes, and they all looked like the crappie (they were big, and round and white). Even if the crappie do spawn, there will be food for catfish, bass and bluegill then. And besides, there's a bird down at our pond that swoops down and gets small fish probably the minnows (fatheads). There are also (I also said this before), 2 nice size catfish in the pond, they are roughly about a pound-2 pounds each. They will eat up the bluegill and when they get big enough, the crappie. So this solves the whole VDGIF thing. God bless 8-)
  4. Day, never really night fished before....except for catfish... Kevin Van Dam or Bill Dance?
  5. TroutFisher already made the post in the General Bass Fishing... http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1171642297
  6. yeah I got window movie maker too, but I can't seem to get it to work. I have a bunch of movies I made off of my digital camera (Olympus camedia), it's soundless but I would like to give it a shot and see what all I can do. (Experiment if you will). Do I have to have the movies uploaded on file in the computer itself or do I have to download it to a certain site (which site anyway) and upload it there? And in what file format does it have to be for the windows movie maker to support it? Like I said just pm or email me answers, I don't want you to ruin a thread you make trying to help me with my problems lol ;D Thanks! God bless 8-)
  7. pm/email sent! You gotta tell me how to make a video! I am thinking about making a video of all my catches and pictures...either email me or pm me how to do it, thanks! 8-)
  8. Gold! Spring or fall?
  9. Wilma even though she is a red head.... Nitro or Triton?
  10. Surely BOOYAH! 8-) YUM Dingers or Senko?
  11. Shot...as long as it is in the heart or head...lol Would you rather eat raw meat or sushi?
  12. Yeah when we stocked the fish we threw out the pellets. I am sure some bass were eaten but I doubt every bass...after all there is like I said tons of fat head minnows that are about not even an inch in length in the pond, we stocked 15 pounds of these. If anything I will check it in the spring and see how things are going. I just would like to know how long it will take for the bass to reach a catchable size, I don't care about monsters (right now). I actually went with a bobber at the beginning of the winter (actually in the middle of it...) when we were getting the semi-warm temps (50s and 60s). I would take a small plastic and stick it on the hook and under a small bobber and I actually got hits, small hits, but hits. I never caught anything... :-[ God bless 8-)
  13. Extremely cold (you can always put on clothes to stay warm, but you only have a certain number of clothes to take off in hot weather, you can't take off skin lol and stay alive...) Would you rather (kind of gruesome...) burn to death or drown?
  14. Ok...so what's your this or that? (you have to come up with another two ideas, etc for the next person to choose to...
  15. This is a game type thread. Basically what happens is I lay down two things (items, things to do, etc.) and the next person to reply has to answer which ever one they want... For instance...let's say this thread says: "Catch a largemouth bass, or a small mouth bass?" the person who replies has to choose which ever. After they've chosen they can make a 'this or that' theirselves, it can be whatever it is you want. And it keeps going on like that. I've played this game in many different forums and it is really neat to see what people would rather do or what they rather like. If you have any questions pm me... ________________________________________________________________________ Let's get it started.... Ok, Catch the world record largemouth bass, or the world record smallmouth bass?
  16. I was once told that a bass' eye can be an indicator to what he's feeding on, that his eye is a slow adjusting. And that if you catch him and he's looking down then he's feeding on crayfish, etc, if he's looking up he's feeding on topwater and if he looks straight he's feeding on fish. But I don't believe this, because of all the numbers of videos (underwater) of bass I constantly see their eyes adjusting and looking all around for food. And besides, if he is looking down when you catch him and you caught him on a top water, than how the heck could he see your lure??? Another thing is the Lateral Line, I've read that the lateral line on the side of the bass picks up vibrations, in the Bass Professor's e-book it says that spinner-baits are quiet lures but yet only you feel the vibration through the rod/reel. Doesn't the spinner-bait disperse vibrations in the water which the bass pick up on their lateral line? or is there something more to it? Just a few things I would like getting straightened out...or known the truth to...anyone else have any opinions?
  17. Sam, We've got cardinals, robins, blue jays, finches, chickadees, doves, crows, black birds and pretty soon I feel the Purple Martins will be back! I can't wait til spring/summer! I enjoy watching the flowers bloom and hot girls in pink bikini's on their lawns taking a tan in the summer...oooohhhyyaaaahhhh! ;D
  18. Well it depends on where you are sinking it. If you are sinking it in shallow water I would definately trim it, if you are sinking it in a deep spot then don't worry about it. That would certainly attract some fish, I am thinking about taking a 5 gallon bucket, putting a tree in it and then filling it up with gravel. Hopefully the gravel will hold the tree down and also create a algae growing site. I am also considering sinking a few boxes (wooden) near the spawning area in my pond. That way the bass can get up in the boxes and spawn. Good luck! 8-)
  19. I am sure the proper authorities are checking that out! [move]NEWS REPORT[/move] "A bunch of idiotic kids went surfing today when one of their partners threw in a few sticks of dynamite causing a great wave to propel the other kid who was surfing. The proper authorities have checked the regulations and stated that dynamite surfing is in fact ILLEGAL. Therefore to conclude this news report the kids were arrested and sent to a Mental Correctional Facility where they will spend the rest of their lives. Needless to say, luckily no one was hurt during this strategic and rather immature act of 'Dynamite Surfing'. THIS JUST IN! I was incorrect about the casualties from this inconsiderate act. Apparently a neighbor hood dog saw the dynamite being thrown and therefore, being trained to 'fetch the stick' dove in after the dynamite stick and therefore blew up to smitherines. The dog owner Low_Budget_Hookers is sueing the kids for a million dollars, and states that the kids are responsible for getting him a new pet. Another casualty was the abundant number of fish destroyed in the lake, the PETA members are rallying against the kids demanding that they should re-stock the lake immediatley and to discontinue the act of 'dynamite surfing'. I am Susie Cambell, CNN news "
  20. My favorite rod- [move]SHIMANO[/move] My favorite reel- [move]SHIMANO[/move] Muddy's favorite word-[move]SHIMANO[/move] Favorite subjects- Politics, war, government, PETA, gas prices, religion, Iraq, Iran, and the arabs! Speaking of, this war in Iraq is getting out of hand I say we should get our men out there and throw the PETA people in! There we can save the lives of millions of worthy army soldiers but sacrifice the unworthy PETA people ;D If we do that maybe gas prices will diminish and we can all say Halleluja! because the good lord will make our lives carefree and joyful when the arabs, iranians and the iraqis are being pummeled by the complaining and talk of the world should save the animals. Then President Bush would look back on this in countless years and realize that he finally did something right! While in the mean time I am fishing with Muddy, using my Shimano rod and reel and catching all the fish while he is seriously considering to switching to a Shimano rod and reel set up. ;D (Note: this is just a fun little story paragraph, nothing intending to offend ANYONE's beliefs, likes, etc.)
  21. Amen Brother! Mother nature is a beauty to witness! Same here, even though there is 3 inches of ice on the ground and temps in the teens I can still hear those chickadees singing their hearts out and blue jays and even robins sitting on the limbs eating my mom's bird seed she put in the bird feeders. I like to sit at the kitchen window and watch the squirrels and birds in the backyard eating corn and birdseed. And if it weren't for my father's stupid yellow begal mutt running around all the place scaring all the deer off (he lets him! Says "Oh the dog is just going 'hunting'") we'd have deer up here too! I love to watch the deer! When it's hunting season I like to watch them with my bow and arrow in hand But nature is a sight to behold. Her wonders, her surprizes, and her mysteries always make us learn something new everyday Can't wait until spring! I like to walk down to the pond and listen to the birds and watch the fish darting from the bank. And with spring here the trees will have buds and flowers and the grass will be green! Rather than bare and white on the ground. My birthday is also in the spring, so I can't wait for that!!! ;D God bless

I always thought there should be a new rule out there that if you buy a diamond ring to get married it should be mandatory you buy a bass boat. Because we all know that once that ring is on her finger you aren't getting no boat unless you already have it. ;D :-X ;D
  23. If you're talking about being 21 then it's three years...no offense! two more years and he'll be human??? Your secret alien identity is safe with me :-X ;D (jk)
  24. Here's the pond concept...it is color coded so sorry for the looks... The grass are in the 0-2' area around the cove extending all the way around the bank line to the spill pipe and stopping there. Some grass (due to the fertilizer) is growing in the feeder creek. My guess is the fish are holding around either the green, yellow or red area (basically 5-7 foot range), but I could be wrong... The pond like I said is one and a half acres big... 8-) God bless
