  1. I caught it at Watkins Mill State Park. Was in about 10' of water buried in some nasty type of grass. Other than that one we caught a few small ones and that was it.
  2. Sorry for the small picture. I am struggling to get it to post correctly.
  3. Got this one this morning on a 10" motoroil colored powerbait worm. The scale read 4.7lbs but I think it is off a little. I think it was more in the 3lb class.
  4. I have a 6'9" MH veritas for my lews reel and love it. I mainly use it to throw t-rig plastics, but will use it for shallow crankbaits and spinnerbaits. I have mine spooled with 14lb stren.
  5. Clifford Pirch travels with his family, and after trying everything from a double-decker trailer to two trucks, he’s found that renting a U-Haul is the most cost-effective means of getting himself to the ramp without bringing the whole gang. this was in the photos from the first day at the tournament.
  6. Looks good to me Brad. I love that color!!!
  7. Congrats. That is a nice one for sure!!!
  8. Take a look at this thread to set up the reel properly. I haven't had any issues with mine. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/92295-how-to-set-up-a-baitcaster/ Hope this helps!!!
  9. Check out archerytalk.com Anything and everything you could imagine about bows and bowhunting on there. I would suggest buying a ground blind to hunt from. Very roomy and you can get away with a little movement.
  10. I haven't seen the blue max combo before but I do have 1 black max and 3 of the silver max combos and they have all been good to me. I know they aren't the best in the business but they work for me. I have 3 of them with 14lb mono and one with 50lb braid. So far they have handled everything I have thrown at them.
  11. I use the polomar knot for everything I fish with.

So... When can I come down and catch a monster like that??? Another great fish Big-O!!!! Kyle
  13. Right now the Rapala DT models are getting more game time than the rest. But you can always find a Strike King crankbait close by
  14. I have never tried the Carbonlite rod but recently picked up a 6'9" MH Veritas with micro guides. I got to use it for the first time today and was very impressed with it. I think either way you would be getting a good rod!!
  15. I know the reel magic is available at Walmart. I haven't seen KVD's stuff their.
  16. I spray reel magic on mine the night before I know I am going out and sometimes during the day if needed. I won't leave home without a bottle in the bag.
  17. Sounds like a great time. I have never heard of that lake before but it might be something I go check out. I love the idea of hooking into a nice sized muskie!!! Thanks for a great story and some great pictures. Kyle
  18. I was actually going to ask a question regarding this. I dont have any of the weighted hooks for this. Would you recommend a bullet style weight pegged above the hook? What size would you try in say 15' of water? Thinking of trying this in our tournament this weekend. Thank you Kyle
  19. Congrats on another very impressive fish!!!!
  20. I have 3 that I am using right now and I like them. I think they are a pretty good reel for the price.
  21. I don't have the tournement model, I have the regular speed spool and I love it. I think you made a good choice.
  22. Good old fashion Stren.. can't go wrong with it
  23. I am giving the space monkey's a try tomorrow morning in a tournament. Have the black/blue T-rigged with a 1/4 oz weight on it. This is my first time to use the Rage baits.
  24. I would have lots of weekends off!!!!! I am sure I could luck into some fish but probably not well enough to make any cuts. I would be so dang nervous the whole time I would probably backlash all my reels in the first hour!!!!
