  1. Another vote for the Veritas. I also have the 6'9" and the 7' MH rods and love them. I think you will be very happy with it.

do you use any weights with these? I have a couple of packs but never have used them except for C-Rig.
  3. We can bring whatever is needed, just let me know. Looking forward to hearing the report!!
  4. I just switched all but one of my rods to 12lb yo-zuri hybrid line and so far so good. I do keep 50lb braid on a MH rod for throwing frogs and spooks.

I use 5/0 with really good luck, but may up it to a 6/0 to try out.
  6. I use the Reel Magic right now and it seems to work pretty well. With that said, when this bottle is empty I plan on trying out the KVD L&L conditioner.

As of right now my favorite is the 10" Berkley Power worm in motoroil. It is a bait that I have total confidence in and on just about every outing it catches at least one fish for me. Now.. I did just pick up some Luck E Strike Sneaky Snakes.. an 11" worm that I am going to use for the first time this weekend.. So.. by next week I could have a new favorite!!!
  8. I have 2 walmarts near me and neither one carries the Rage products. I would clean them out for that price too!!!!!!!
  9. 40lb braid has the diameter around the same as 10lb mono so I think you are just fine.
  10. My father in law and I hit Watkins Mill up on Saturday. Was another bad showing for that lake. We managed to catch 2 keepers and 2 dinks all on a black buzz bait. There is so much grass that rings the whole lake that is it impossible to fish most ways. We tried spinnerbaits, shallow cranks, t-rig baits and even deeper cranks off some deeper humps that normally produce a couple decent sized fish. Really looking forward to the Big Bass Bash next weekend at LOZ. Sure would be nice to come back next week and post a picture of a big bass that won me the 60k first prize
  11. Man is it time to get this show rolling?? I am very excited to meet some new people and fish a lake I have never been to. Hoping for some help getting on the smallmouth that day. My number 1 goal is to get my father in law into some smallies.
  12. There was probably 10 packs of each color that way. I tried to tell the guy that they were going to be ruined and they should sell them to me at 1/2 price... He just laughed at me!!
  13. Aren't all the Rage craw products suppose to come in the hard plastic shells to protect their claws? I noticed at a local tackle shop that 3 or 4 of the colors they had, the craws were just thrown in the package while the others were in the protective plastic. All the others.. lobsters, space monkeys... etc were all packaged correctly. I asked the guy at the store and all he said is that is how Strike King sent them. Has anyone else ran into this? Thoughts?

  18. Please forward this on to me as well. Thank you!! Kyle
  19. What they said x3. I have 2 and love them. I would go with a 7' MH action.
  20. watch this video from Glenn. It has some great tips
  21. That is one heck of a fish!! Congrats!!!!
  22. Do you mind sharing what you guys used to catch them? How many did u guys end up catching? I am heading down next weekend and want to focus on catching smallies.
  23. Thats the first time I have ever seen a zebra mussel before. I can see where that would be bad for your line!!!! I think we are just going to stay close to home and fish Smithville Lake in the morning.
  24. Thanks for the report. I may just wait a little longer to head out there. Any idea what the water temp was there?
