For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports
How's the fishing at Melvern at this time of year? Maybe even in to early December if the weather is good enough to get out. My father in law is recovering from hip surgery and finds out next week how long before he can fish. If he can go we are headed to Melvern for some smallie action!!!

Bass Resource Jerseys
I have been looking at that site for awhile. Just wanting to see if anyone had a picture of an actual jersey. Just to see what they really look like.

Bass Resource Jerseys
Does anyone have an actual picture of one of these jerseys? I am looking to get a few made up for my father in law and myself for next years tournaments. We just fish small tourneys, but it would be nice to have some cool looking jerseys. Plus my work will probably sponsor us, so I would get their logo put on it as well. Thanks for sharing. Kyle

Sunbaking Crankbaits
Rapala offers their DT line in the Ike series. They are muted colors. These are the notes per the website: First, it’s their purposefully muted colors. Before these baits came along, Ike used to "bake them in the sun" on his Toyota’s dashboard, even line his windowsills with baits for months to get that lifelike, muted skin tone. Typical crankbait colors, says Ike, sometimes need to be toned down, made more subtle to mirror reality. The subtler colors can be fantastically effective when bass aren’t attacking conventional patterns, too.

Rage Rig
Using a weighted swimbait hook to rig your soft plastic baits. It makes it fall horizontally instead of nose down.

Matching Equipment
Eventually all my rods will be the Veritas rods and all my reels will be the Lews models. I like the idea of picking up each rod and have them all feeling the same. Plus i like the white rod with the black reel. It just looks cool to me.

Which Line To Try For Crank/topwater Setups?
I switched all my reels to 12# yo zuri hybrid and am very impressed. I don't feel the need to try anything else now that I found this line.

Any Taylor Swift Fans?
anything from her first album I would consider country. She has some good ones on there, " Tim Mcgraw" "Teardrops on my guitar" come to mind. I am a big fan of both her old stuff and her new stuff. My kids love her too so and go around singing her songs all day long. I hope she continues being a good role model for the younger generations.

Jokes - Let's Have Some Fun
Our teacher asked what my favorite animal was, and I said, "Fried chicken." She said I wasn't funny, but she couldn't have been right, because everyone else laughed. My parents told me to always tell the truth. I did. Fried chicken is my favorite animal. I told my dad what happened, and he said my teacher was probably a member of PETA. He said they love animals very much. I do, too. Especially chicken, pork and beef. Anyway, my teacher sent me to the principal's office. I told him what happened, and he laughed, too. Then he told me not to do it again. The next day in class my teacher asked me what my favorite live animal was. I told her it was chicken. She asked me why, so I told her it was because you could make them into fried chicken. She sent me back to the principal's office. He laughed, and told me not to do it again. I don't understand. My parents taught me to be honest, but my teacher doesn't like it when I am. Today, my teacher asked me to tell her what famous person I admired most. I told her, "Colonel Sanders." Guess where I am now...

Jokes - Let's Have Some Fun
Connie and Stosh are standing on the 18th tee at their Polish Country Club. They are the final twosome in the Polish Country Club Championship and are tied for the lead. The 18th hole is a beautiful par four with a deep valley descending down to a dogleg right. Both Connie and Stosh hit long, straight tee shots which disappear down into the valley. A short time later, the fore caddie appears at the top of the hill and announces that both balls are within a foot of each other, but there's a problem. Both of the golf balls are Titleist #4s. Connie and Stosh look at each other and realize that they had not informed each other as to what kind of ball they were playing, nor its number. They quickly descend into the valley and, sure enough, their twoTitleist golf balls are right next to each at the bottom of the valley in the middle of the fairway. Stosh looks at Connie and says, "We had better get a ruling from a tournament official to straighten this out." "This is the Polish Country Club Championship and we don't want to be disqualified for making a mistake and hitting the wrong ball." "After all, we are tied for the lead." Soon after, a rules official appears and examines the two #4 Titleist golf balls. He then looks up at Connie and Stosh and says, "Which one of you is playing the orange ball."

I am good with that.. I would love to stay busy all day. Do you think they would bit a 3" or 5" grub? I have some Kalin grubs that I thought I would try along with the Ned rig.
