  1. I ended up going elsewhere that weekend, as it was to much of a drive on a gamble I could fish it. Tuesday I'm headed to the mountains of Va for smallmouth, keeping my fingers crossed that the water there isn't a high and muddy as here near the Beach
  2. Is my rod completed yet? It's almost Wednesday
  3. What part of Chesapeake are you in? Message me, I just moved to Carrollton from Portsmouth, and found some good local spots
  4. Was thinking about driving up to Pony Pasture to see if I could get a few smallmouth. Anything been biting lately? Just looking to do a little wading from shore, I looked today and the water level was 3.4
  5. I'm the minority here, but I like the rubber bands instead. I can change the skirt on the fly if need be, if the skirt gets ripped up by a fish, turlte, or whatever I can replace it. Also I'll lose the jig way way way before any bands rot. The rubber bands now a days are made way better then the 90's anyway.
  6. I don't live bait fish, as I believe it takes no skill. I mean if I stick a cheeseburger in front of you with a hook in it, you'd eat it, and be hooked, no technique or skill involved
  7. I've used the same backpack for almost 20 years for shore fishing. Ironically enough it came from The Gap, this is the most durable backpack I've ever owned at any price. I'm in love with it, and if I could find more I'd buy a truckload of them. I think I paid $15 for it then but I'd pay $100 now. So don't exclude odd places to find a great item for fishing
  8. This thread needs more pictures
  9. Limit Maker Balloon Jig Plump Jig
  10. Not sure what type of jigs your using, but dual plastic guards sounds wonky, and I wouldn't have confidence in it. I know a few good jig makers, message me if your interested
  11. Hornet Jig (Looks like a Stinger) Scorpion Skipper Jig Pinhead Jig (looks like a backwards pin head) Needle jig Blowdart Jig Mouse tail Jig
  12. Cadman - Can you email me the tutorial, and any other jig making things you have? I'd greatly appreciate it. Also if you sell the Dredge Jighead, let me know a price. Thanks! mrpokey00@yahoo.com
  13. Typically if your throwing the jig where it'll work best, you'll lose it way before you deform the lead
  14. I went a little picture crazy Hopefully the pictures turn out
  15. In the last 2 weeks, I've order 200+ Jigheads from him, never had any issues with communication, shipping, pricing, quality, anything. Couldn't have been smoother. I'll be a customer for life!
  16. Gary Yamamato (sp) the maker of the actual senko made a 2" for years, but discontinued it, you can still find them with google though. I liked them
  17. depends on the price
  18. I use head from multiple sources, but I can't find a quality head/hook thats under $.50 per, even in bulk. If I could find somewhere that'd get down to $.30 or so, I'd buy a few hundred. Anyone know of a Bulk place to get them? I already contacted Mike at Seiberts, he gave me a good price on a great product, just seeing if there was any other options
  19. If I was on MLF I'd just throw 2 baits, the Ned rig and a Senko, It might take me 40 fish to hit 30 lbs but Id be there quickly
  20. I know Virginia has a citation for almost every gamefish species and even rough fish, anything from Bass, Pickeral, Gar, Carp, Bowfin, Bluegill to Yellow Perch can get you a citation if they are of the proper size
  21. I'm in Virginia, and a Citation is 22 inches or 8 lbs, I'm a Virginia Expert Angler, as I've caught 10+ Citation Largemouth Bass, Master Angler is 5 Citations of different species, I have 4 of those so just one away from Master also. I have Pickeral, Bluegill, Carp, and Largemouth.
  22. It's not known as the dead sea for nothing. I'd hit up Lanier, also I'd visit a bait shop in Kennesaw (The Dugout), best tackle shop I've been to other then Bass Pro
  23. 1/4 oz swim jig in a Bluegill color - I make them myself, and for the last 3 weeks I can't keep fish off them. Over 20 fish in that 3 weeks over 4 lbs, biggest was a 8 lb 8 oz
  24. 1/4 oz Jigs Senko Frog Texas Rigs
