Trappers Lake, Colorado. It is a natural lake on the top of a mountain high in the Rockies. It looks like an Ansel Adams picture. It's so high, that it doesnt thaw until the last week of May, 1st week of June. It is full of Native Colorado cutthroat trout. Gorgeous!

I fish many lakes like the one you describe. I use small tubes, drop-shot panic minnow and Ika's9 Ika only for shallower water)..........I also like to jerkbait parallel to the cliffs.

I do the same thing you do, I use a blood knot for the connection. I always use a lighter and burn it smooth. I hope that made sense. You have to be careful not to burn through the knot.

I love Quantum! I only have 1 reel that isnt a Quantum and its the Daiwa Viento. I will always have Quantum reels on my rods.

In that ultra-clear water, be sure to pay close attention to line type, size, and lure selection.

I think Ike has a wealth of fishing knowledge and is one of the better fisherman on the tour. With that being said, I dont care for his antics either, but you can never deny what an incredible fisherman he is. My guess is that he will grow out of those kind of actions in the future. Besides, who can breakdance when their in their mid 30's to 40's anyway! ;D ;D ;D

Hmmmm..............try fishing the bends in the submerged timber.........Find timber that is adjacent to a creek channel.......try to figure if the fish are on the insides of the trees or the outside........look for trees next to a spawning flat or spawning cove.........keep working..........you'll find them...........

Well, we(Denver Bassmasters) had our 1st club tournament of the year on Saturday. Just had a cold front move through on Friday......Air temp @ start of tournament was 26 degrees.....Brrrrrrr............water temp was between 45-47 degrees.......Caught 4 smallies by 8:30 a.m. and then not another hit all day. Quit time was @ 3:00 p.m. Smallies were between 1.5 and 2.5 lbs.......Thankfully, my hot start carried me throughout the day and I finished with the win........38 guys fished the tournament and only 15 caught a bass.........Another guy and I both caught 4 but mine were bigger! 1st tournament......1st win.............hopefully the rest of the season goes this well! All my fish were caught in 12 ft of water with a 2 1/2 in Green Pumpkin with Copper Flake Tube and a 1/8th Oz Jighead with the hook exposed........ ;D ;D

not much info to go on here..........Post rain, with wind? Spinnerbait would be my 1st thing I would try.......topwater as well...........

I always use a blood knot for line to line ties...........Cut the tag end(there will be 2) VERY short to avoid your problem.....This knot will not slip so cut tag ends closely. ;D Hope that helps.
