  1. I have ordered 2 rods from them, got them very quickly and they were well shipped......I would buy from them again.........Never had to deal with customer service as I have never had problems......Tackle warehouse is a "favorite" for my internet explorer............
  2. Lucky Craft Staysee, Excalibur Lipless cranks, and tubes................. ;D ;D ;D
  3. 3 words............Walk the Dog. ;D ;D ;D
  4. Well, If worse comes to worse, then just take off the old hooks, go to BPS or wherever, and "match" the size that way..........Most lures(depending on how big the lure is) will have either a # 4 or # 2 sized treble hook on them. You might also buy an o-ring splitter while you getting new hooks..........makes life much easier..........after that, its all downhill..........Take off the old, put on the new and away you go...........Hooks you want to use? You can never go wrong with Gamakatsu, but some people swear by Mustad and Daichi(spelling?) as well so as far as that goes, its all preference...........You can also experiment by swithcing a # 4 hook for a # 2..............gives different action, etc...............I hope that helped a little bit...... ;D
  5. Excalibur is the ONLY trap I will throw.............nothing else.................ever................ ;D
  6. It depends.........If I have a lot of rip-rap or rocky structure, I will rig a tube with a jighead and the hook exposed........If I am fishing grass, moss, hydrilla, etc............I will T-rig................. ;D
  7. I also would hold off on the buzzbait until water temps rise a little bit.............Of course, whos to say.........A lot of people swear by topwater year round so..................Try it all.........
  8. 3.5 to 4 in Yamamoto Craw.............

  13. I've used Yamamoto Kut-tail worms (6.5) on a shaky head and caught plenty of fish..........I see no reason why a senko wouldn't work just as well..........
  14. We did go to Alan Henry as well...............We got 1 full day before we left for Amistad...........I caught 8 fish with the biggest being about 3 1/2 lbs................The guy we went with who is a guide and lives on the lake caught a 4,5,6, and 7 lb'er that day...........Smoked us to say the least............Water temp on Alan Henry was still in the 40's.............About 48..........Caught all my fish on Alan henry on a shaky head yamamoto 8 in worm.............We did find water temp's @ Amisatd in the low 60's.........
  15. Well, just got back from the Colorado State Team qualifier @ Lake Amistad. Whew, What a lake!!!! we do not have lakes like that here in Colorado! Some of that water was absolutley gin clear. You could see 50ft straight to the bottom. Anyway, i could go on and on about the lake but the bottom line is.....i didnt do very well.............I was in 13th after the 1st day and it was all downhill from there...........I did manage to catch a 5.5 and a 6.65 on back to back casts........I'll post the link for everyone to see..........The largest fish caught during the tournament was 11.42............My big fish came on a jerkbait(LC Staysee), jerkbaiting the submerged trees in about 12 feet of water..........Most everyone who did well caught most of thier fish on a carolina rig with a short leader(10 inches or so) and a brush hog or 8 in lizard or 10 in worm . Some fish are spawning but most of the bigger fish were caught in about 20-30 feet of water.......Watermelon/Red is the color of choice down there...........I would highly recommend going to Amistad if you ever get the chance..........There are fish EVERYWHERE!!!!! http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n287/deuceu72/Amistad6.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n287/deuceu72/Amistad5.jpg
