I voted for SA, my A1 is one of my favorite guns. But BERETTA is my all time favorite. Yeah... i'm a shotgun junkie.

I would have to say savege arms. I had one of there 22s a few years back. I was so fun and easy to clean. But my other fav gun companys are The german goverment, british goverment, and russian goverment. I like how thoses aks are almost bullet proof. But the last few years I have been eyeing the british and german rifles.

benelli makes the best shotguns...no doubt about it. if we're talking pumps the rem 870 is loved by more because the nova hasnt been around as long, give it a few more years and you'll see a larger amount of them in the duck blinds. i recently purchased a savage .270 bolt and have been extremely impressed with the accuracy, its not too heavy and the kick isnt all that bad. also have a vintage colt SAA .22LR. and a winchester model 77 .22LR that i absolutely hate. have had it into the gun shop twice and professionally cleaned and it still jams everyother shot, but hey its more than half a century old. of course i own a 12 ga benelli pump and a 20 ga ted williams sign. series model 200 that is just awesome for quail.

That may have been one of the stupidest things i have heard you say tim. They don't even make any double barrels. The best shotgun ever made is the winchester model 21. Browning has many great shotguns. Not to mention Fox, Ithica, bereta, parker, and many more that would make this list to long. But each gun has it purpose. You wouldn't take a parker and break ice with it on the way to the duck the blind. You also don't get the quality with a nova that you do in a model 21.

alright al....maybe not the "finest" gun, just the best, you can beat the crap out of it, give it a quick cleaning and its fine. you can take your expensive beretta and your other "fine" guns and go hunt with them, actually use them get em and little dirty....jeeez i tell ya. but i guess i was comparing it more to the rem 870 so. i use guns for hunting, so respectively thats how i would rank them.

my latest gun was a savage .17hmr bolt action with stainless barrel and synthetic stock: this is the ultimate coon hunting gun its light and gets them out of the tree.

For shotgun i have a stoeger over under which i really like for pheasants, i like my 870 though for ducks, my dad has a mossberg and i hate it it rattles and everything feels loose on it.

i dont shoot a lot of pistols but i like my dads ruger single action revolver.

i want to get a thompson omega though and through out my cheap little CVA.

high powered rifles are tikkas and sakos or browning BLRs,

revolvers = ruger only

Semi auto handguns, Older colts and glocks

shotguns, 870 remington all the way.

I have six of the ten that you mention in several calibers and several others that you fail to mention.  They are all good.  In order for me to pick one, you need to mention the use or purpose of the gun.

I favor all that I have for various uses or potential uses.   ;)

Catt: Would you like to own more guns, might take that old wore out pre-64 Winchester offen yur hands. ;D

Ithaca Featherlight M37 Slide Action Shotgun. 12 ga. 2 ¾

Where did you say you live again? ;D

Mine is the slog through the field model, still a good utility shotgun.

And the A-5, yep, a nice classical shotgun.

I have a sweet sixteen Belgian made in that and it is sweet. About all of the birds that we have to shoot at are doves anymore. Would love to trek to pheasant country sometime.

And short arms, remember that quote at the end of Quigley Down Under, "Said I didn't like um, didn't say that I couldn't use um'."

Water dog you could not afford either gun  ;D

Do a search and you can find where I live but that's where the Blackhawk and 240 grain wad cutters comes in, I don't even have to open the door.

That's about what I figured. ;D

And you are right, I can't afford it, how about putting me in your will. ;)

I haven't used my blackhawk 44mag for hunting yet either but I intend to.

I intend to do a lot of things but can't seem to find the time, got to make the time, got to make the time, not let's see, what was I going to do... :)

LOL, Catt, you and I think alike.

One other maker I forget, but I have my most accurate rifle built on is HOWA,,,,  You can not beat them for the money, and they tune up real well.   Mine is a .257 Ackley Improved, I built myself while going thru Gunsmithing School..... at 200 yrds, you can cover 5 shots with a dime.

Water Dog, as for hunting with the 44 mag, it is an experience that you will love, and hook you like  you have never been hooked... have taken several deer, and elk, cougar(more of a neccesity than actually hunting it)  and a black bear.  All at 60 yrds or less.... Nothing like taking an animal with a hand cannon for sure.

Berretta, Springfield and Ruger.  They all hold a special place in my home.

A man after my own heart!
