Definitely looking forward to these fights. 5bl, I am with you-hard to pick a winner/favorite in the Liddell/Silva fight. I am pulling for Chuck but I think Silva has the advantage. Tough call in the Hughes/GSP fight as well. IMO, GSP has the edge. I think he is a young guy with a long future in the sport....I see him getting the belt back from Serra. both of these have the potential to be awesome fights.

My favorite is Annie Gunn's here in St. Louis. A close second and third place is Morton's and Ruth's Chris-which I can both walk to from my office or house. ;D

Congrats on the purchase. I have to agree with what has already been said-the IMX series is the best value high end rod out there. Is the GLX series more sensitive and lighter weight? Sure. But, IMO, they do not justify the additional 45% to 50% higher retail price. FD

These 3 are ALWAYS on the deck: Loomis MBR783 IMX with TD-Z 105 Loomis CBR843 with TD-Z 100 Loomis SJR843 with 2500 Stradic Mg. FD

That is a good price for the TD-Z. they were originally $350 but have been liquidated within the last year at BPS and Cabela's for $200. That is a lot of reel for $175. When you compare that to reels in that price range-Revo, Curado, etc, I think it would hard to pass up that deal.... And if you don't like it, there is a really good chance you can break even or make $$ selling it on ebay..... FD

LBH, This year, I was in the same position-upgrade the rigs that I use and keep them around for while. I ended up upgrading all of my baitcasters to TD-Z's. Absolutely love these reels. I actually got rid of a Chronarch 50mg as well-I know there is another thread on this so I will keep it short-IMO, the 50 mg had a lot of backplay, the TD-Z's-none. Another plus for the TD-Z's is that you can find them on ebay for right around 200 bucks, maybe less. True, the Steez is an upgrade from the Z's, but that is a LOT of reel for approx $200.....a "Low Budget" way of thinking. FD

Vodka on the rocks-any brand as long as it is top shelf Chianti seems to be the wine of choice lately. 2003 Ruffino Reserve to be exact. For beer, since I am in St. Louis, it is usually an Anheuser-Busch product. Sometimes Scotch when I am with clients...I had 21yr old Balvenie a while back. wow-smooth and tasty

Agreed. I sent David a whole box of TD-Z's and a Chronarch 50mg last year and they came back working better than new. Now that I think about it, David, I need to send you one of my TD-Z's that fell in the drink this fall....seems a little dry and sounds like a meat grinder.... >

I am pulling for Hatton, but I think Mayweather has the advantage. On the highlight reel of Hatton, he goes after the body shots like crazy.... my $ on Hatton.

I just picked up the Legend Elite ES63MXF. Should work well for Shakey/weightless plastic and smaller jerkbaits. Now I have to keep an eye open for this type of deal on the discontinued Stella. ;D ;D FD

I never leave without my MBR783 IMX and TD-Z. Great all around combo. I don't like a lot of rods laying on the boat deck so I only take 3-4. The 783 goes every time. If needed, I can use it with anything from soft plastics to heavy spinnerbaits. FD

Disclaimer: Mizzou grad As stated earlier, this thing is still wide open. As it stands now, my 'speculation' is that LSU will play the winner of the Big 12 Championship since they will have either 1 loss (Mizzou or Oklahoma) or undefeated (KU). The winner of the Big 12 will have beat 2 top 6 teams in their last 2 games. That certainly has to be enough to jump Oregon-even though Oregon has the tougher S.O.S. With that being said, none of the teams listed above have an easy ride to the National Championship game....lot of things can happen in the next 3 weeks.

Crazy talk....the Big 12 game of the week this weekend is in Columbia Mo when my Tigers give Nebraska another loss. I am pulling for Texas this weekend simply due to the fact that I would hate to see OU lose 3 in a row. If they can't stop Colorado's offense, they can't stop Mizzou's next weekend. ;D ;D ;D

Harshman, I use the Smallie Beaver or the smaller version of the Berkely Beast on a shakey head and have had better luck than a straight tail worm....

5BL, We will be watching it. Should be a decent card. I am pulling for Couture as well but Gonzaga is a tough dude. Not as skilled as Couture but I think he has the strength to make up for it. St. Pierre-he knows he messed up against Serra. He wants that belt back so he has to win this one.
