  1. Agree. Certainly. Absolutely. positively! Indeed 4-Sure yupster! Fo Sho
  2. Darren, which strip pits? We fished some in So. Ill last Friday.
  3. Being a Mizzou Grad, I would love to see both......but I would also settle for a Big 12 Championship....
  4. Daiwa TD-Z. great balance on that rod. check ebay.
  5. Louie Devito "Blow the Speakers"
  6. Painful to say this, but I would have to go with USC. As long as they get past OSU I don't see them losing the rest of the season. I see them beating the winner of the Big 12 (Mizzou/OK/TX) in the championship game. With that being said, we likely won't see the 2 best teams play each other since we don't have a playoff system. :-X >
  7. X2 I don't fish braid a lot, but I never have a leader. Not a fan of having another knot between me and the fish.
  8. I went to my local Cabela's (in St. Louis) two weekends ago. They had various LC Pointers marked down to $9.98 so I picked up a handful of them. Whats even more awesome-when I got to the check out, they rang up for $6.98.
  9. big fan of braid for finesse...and no leader.
  10. what brand of flouro did you try? I have only found two that I like-BPS flouro and Berkley Trilene flouro. Have had bad experiences with others... Also, IMO, a line conditioner helps out a lot with flouro. FD
  11. Thanks for the tip, Ghoti. I am heading back to our family farm this weekend and I know a pond that has the same duckweed problem. I will have to give this a shot.
  12. Owner 2/0 Rig 'N Hook. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_100708____SearchResults
  13. That is what I had on my 6'9" the past two nights; I 105H. Sure was sweet... Thanks for the info. My spare 105H may have just found a home...
  14. Natural, I am in the market for a MH XF and this might just be the ticket for a spare TD-Z I have laying around. If I remember correctly, you have a handful of TD-Z's as well. Wanna do me a favor and throw a TD-Z on that 6'9" and tell me how well it balances??? ;D FD
  15. I can't speak specifically on the lefty version but I have 4 right handers and I love them. Still one of the lightest reels out there. I have never had an issue with any of mine. They toss light lures well and also handle the heavier stuff well too. FD
  16. I have watermelon/red flake, Junebug, and bubble gum in my tackle bag......my experience is that color really doesn't matter. If they are hitting the Trick Worm, they will hit any of the 3 colors. My fishing partner and I have a couple spots that we can almost always get bit with the Trick Worm on a split shot rig. Multiple times we have been using very different colors at the same time and both of us pulling in fish. FD
  17. My fishing partner throws this bait in chrome/blue back as his go-to search bait and does really well with it. This bait has crazy action-much like the original X-Rap jerkbait.
  18. I have one and for the $$, IMO, it is a good value. I bought it to see how I was going to like the split grip design-turns out I don't like it at all-but I do still use it for pitching and flipping when bank fishing. Definitely a light-weight rod. FD
  19. There it is Agreed. I have caught a few hawgs on a 1.5" curly tail grub while crappie fishing.
  20. If I had to pick one----> trick worm. color? surprise me. every color I have used has produced for me.
  21. Correct. I use the BPS flouro and it is one of my favorites. Very user-friendly for flouro.
  22. If you go to Berkley's website, you can print off a coupon for $5 back when you buy 3 packs of Powerbait. That makes their 10 in. Powerworm fairly inexpensive......
  23. I keep a Yo-Zuri Rattlin Vibe on my desk at the office. If someone picks it up, I give them the 'handle with care' disclosure....some of them just don't get it. One would think that the two shiney treble hooks could be dangerous..... FD
